Congratulations mrs. P
Part time sounds good to me .
Well, I've just paid off payplan the final amount £4,255 .77 (wescot)
That's it . Party over.
Received bill for ground rent . I have £200 retention , which my solicitor will take care of regarding service charges etc .
Anna , the computer I have is almost 11 years old
Reason I need new one : back up phone/ iPad / recording music
Dropbox . Nothing is compatible anymore .
I'm in the process of giving my old iPhone to my friends wife for all the things he has done lately . I was just about to backup on my old Mac , but a software update prevented me from doing so. Basically ,it's the end of the road .
Also the one I currently have runs slower than snails having sex . Not enough ram
Blah blah blah0 -

It's a case of slowly, slowly catchee Monkey as I'm hoping by Christmas to be down to 4 days a week and not work every Monday. Just have to get work used to the idea.
Wahoo. :T:T0 -
Good news AC - all debts paid, flat purchased and (nearly) to your satisfaction. Now is the time to get that budget sorted once and for all so you don't slip back. Good luck!
I am currently recovering from lunch out which was a rather large spicy calzone. Very nearly defeated me but I made it through in the end. Couldn't finish the sweet potato chips though they were very delicious. Don't think I will need to eat for a day or so. Alfie is sulking because I have been out most of the day. I keep thinking he is on his last legs but then he keeps perking up. As long as he seems to be enjoying life then I am happy to let him go on without vet. intervention. Best we can all hope for I think.0 -
Hi dreaming . Glad Alfie is doing ok .
Yes, I have to think of everything now . Will be going through figures and budgeting within the next few days . Want to have some sort of job by this time next year . Hopefully it can be done0 -
Isn't most stuff backed up to the cloud these days? I have to say though I love my laptop and use it a lot as my ipad won't hold photos/music etc. They are hugely variable in price though. We bought both our daughters new laptops for birthdays in the last few years for less than £400 for a medium spec laptop. Both OH and I have Dell laptops which are slightly more expensive but we only change them about once every 10 years.
I second dreamings advice to get a budget sorted AC so you do not go through your remaining money too quickly before you have got some part time work.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I lost photos through the cloud ,and an update . Not 100% sure of the cloud . The annoying thing is I keep getting messages to pay for storage . When I get my new computer , I will back everything onto that on a regular basis . I can also do clean installs in the safe knowledge that everything is backed up more securely .
I've deleted photos on the cloud and they are still there clogging up space . Computers are a con . Like insurance , it is an essential evil0 -
I have a couple of large exgternal hard drives which were on special offer at Saingsbogs a couple of years ago - I bought 2. I have most of my photos and some videos backed up on them.Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Same here mrs p
External hard drives are essential .0 -
I use icloud for everything - I do pay £2.49 a month for 1tb of storage or something equally ridiculous.
However, I do still back everything up to my Time Capsule too.0 -
My iMac is 6 years old and apparently it's archaic- I have to use my phone to buy stuff from the net. But I can't change it, its like a good friend. I know the tech companies want us to keep buying new and updating but you get attached.0
