I am down to £100 maximum for myself and my 15 month old DD, with your help and support
This is for all household spending. However, I do still have a full freezer and cupboards. Freya will eat the same as me.

Greetings fellow challengees. (is that a word?)
So far, I have spent £35.64 (Asda) and £21.01 (Booths) and £8.00 (Bookers).
I am managing to stock up the freezer thanks to Asda yellow stickered fish, which is now cooked/sauced and frozen
Today, I bought some more freezer containers at what I think is a reasonable price
100 round tubs and lids..ideal for soup. £8.28
100 plastic tubs and lids like they use at chinese takeaways £8.93
125 foil containers and lids, the long rectangle ones £8.63
So, now I'd better get filling the things. :jOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

My order came from Tesco, just one problem and the money refunded.
I did the order with the no carrier bags and it was bedlam with the food all in the hall, but I did get 10 more Clubcard points:D . I hate the fact that Tesco use about 25 bags normally, sometimes with one small item in one bag.
Total points for the order 840 = £33.60 in deals.
Bill came to £79.64. This leaves me with £70.36 for the month. I'm keeping this money seperate in a purse.

Hi Vicotria, welcome to the GC!
This is the complete Old Style indexed threads; scroll down for menus and recipes. There's also a lot of other stuff about saving money - laundry and cleaning tips for instance. If you want to know anything in particular please ask
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=235198
This is the old Style Recipe collection (listed in the above index too) http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=46654
Stickys are usually listed at the top of the index thread for any particular forum, so for instance, go to Old Style Forum and the stickys are at the top of the list. HTH... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Well, out of my £100 budget for the month I spent £37 at Tesco on Friday but just looked at my online banking and they've only charged me £10.00 for it! I haven't been to Tesco for ages before or after this visit so can't see where the £10 has come from! I'm not complaining but wonder whether they'll realise the error of their ways and recharge me later? Has this ever happened to anyone else?
So for now I'll count it as £37 spent and £63 left (gulp!) and keep my fingers crossed!0 -
I went to tesco's last night and managed to get one of their new organic veg boxes for 80p! They are usually £10! I was very chuffed with myself and all the veg was all ok, i only had to throw away one (small) manky carrot. Awesome!House Deposit Fund: £16,367.97 Target: [strike]£10,000[/strike] £15,000

Hi
I'm an oldie who has just realised that I have contributed a pretty high percentage of Tesco's Billions profits. I can't believe I spent more than £400 there in August. September was much better, but to pay for my new bathroom I am going to be real stingey, but still eat as well, if not better than I did before.
Here's how.
