    ok
First off I've been running Linux as my daily desktop OS for the past 10 years or so.
Graphics and printer work just fine and it's been years since a Linux update/upgrade broke anything for me!

I've got Win10 but that's just to play games on these days and to keep my skills current for windows Admin rolls. I'm on the fast ring for Win10 updates and a corrupted Nvidia graphics driver update, a month ago, killed my win10 install stone dead! but wasn't a huge deal as it had nothing i could not download again installed ;)

Oh for you guys who think Windows 10 is a NSA's wet dream, I think you should pick up a copy of "Windows 10 Red" then you'll see what a Government intrusion in to your OS looks like...

I switched to Windows 10 early on and I've never tried Linux. I find it more stable than Windows 7 or 8.1.
Microsoft are far from perfect. I don't like the adverts and not keen on the botched updates although I haven't been inconvenienced greatly by any of them.
I think one just has to accept that there are those who don't like Microsoft and will use anything else and also those who always wish to stick to old versions so are here to laud XP, 7 etc. In any remotely rational discussion Windows 10 is the best windows version to be launched yet and for those 28 people who prefer Linux let them go ahead but I don't think they will convert the majority any time soon.

    I'm still on Windows 7, I wouldn't touch Windows 10 because it's not safe.
Great.....Thanks for that amazing insight, we were all wondering....Now we know, you can feel safe going to the Windows 7 thread as you have nothing to add here...

Put down your coffee and admire the sheer amount of data Windows 10 Creators Update will slurp from your PC

Absolutely ridiculous. I had to double-check that it wasn't published on April 1st.

Have set the WiFi as a metered connection. Hope it stops the update.

Is there anything else I need to do in advance of the 11th?

Personally I'd do a backup. If and when you do choose to update, it's not unknown for these cumulative updates to take a turn for the worst.
