Goods not as stated

My son recently purchased Louboutins from an online menswear store. After stating on numerous occasions that he wanted a specific colour and questioning the colour of a photograph he received, he never got a confirmation and was merely told the shoes were a new shade of his requested colour. They have arrived and are bright pink, but he has been told they have a no return policy. The shoes were over £600, surely he has a leg to stand on???

How did he pay for them ?0

He paid up front via bank transfer.0

By bank transfer? That screams scam!
Whats the website? They are probably not even in the UK and I'd be surprised if the shoes aren't fake0 -

As per post above he has probably been scammed and would need to find out if the seller is UK based or not, If they are based abroad then he might as well waive good bye to the cash and make the most of the lovely colour shoes he has received.
If they are UK based then he needs to issue a letter before action demand telling them that he wants the shoes as per colour requested or a refund, If they fail to sort it out then he would need to take legal action and this can be daunting for some people but is rather simple and straight forwards to be honest.0 -
Any chance you can provide the web address of the shop he bought them from ?0

They are a UK site, but appear to only run on instagram and twitter?? ll his conversations have been Whatsapp or email. He basically wanted a red shoe, according to Louboutin site these are in red, pink and blue, hence my son keep questioning if they were red. All he got told was that they were the new shade of red, so he accepted that they would be red. They are a very bright pink and the company are now saying he accepted the new shade. In principal it would seem so, but to look at their evasive wording when he specifically asked the question, just makes me believe he has been sold down the river and just given what they had (or can't sell....)0

If they only appear on Instagram and Twitter then you have no way of knowing they are UK based. They could be anywhere.
Instagram and Twitter are also not trading platforms. Whilst companies advertise on them you cannot trade from them. They are messaging services not shops.
This whole thing screams scam. Has he checked the shoes are real?0 -

Alarm bells would have rang after having WhatsApp messages from the people and I know firms work online and I would have wanted to see a website and further details prior to splashing out £600.00 on a pair of shoes.
In any event it is done now and he needs to gather all the details and issue a letter demanding a resolution to the problem, Give them 14 days or so to deal with in the letter and if it fails and you are sure they are UK based then take legal action.0 -

£600 on a pair of fake shoes - that's a hard lesson learned!0 -
He's put his trust in the waffle, I think is the saying. I will try and check myself for their authenticity, he's very angry at the moment to check himself. I have used his phone to contact them in his name and specifically asked where their shoes are sourced as they said it is a new colour when Louboutins are still selling the one he wanted, but they won't answer. I gave a deadline of close of business today before I pursue this as a consumer and their answer is that he said yes to the shoes. (He did, but when he was told they were a shade of red...)0
