As I finished the mini Nail Envy I've pulled another category from my roulette which is Something you want to repurchase. For this I'm choosing my Kind Natured shampoo. There's half a bottle left so should go in a month.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Ninth Anniversary 1,000 Posts I've been Money Tipped!
Here's my totals for the month:

    UUs - 13
    INs - 4
    TAs - 3
    OUTs - 1

And I managed to finish all but one product on my PP list. Hopefully there will be some more UUs next month :)

This was my April PP list:

Aldi Lacura Argan Oil hand cream

[STRIKE]Aldi Lacura Soy serum for mature skin [/STRIKE]

    [STRIKE]L'Oreal Toner for mature skin.[/STRIKE]

    L'Oreal Revitalift serum 30 ml

    [STRIKE]Aldi Argan Oil Shower Gel. 250ml [/STRIKE]

The Revitalift serum is on the 'tip it up, as the dropper doesn't reach any more' stage and the hand cream is at the 'firing gobbets of cream across the room when squeezed' stage. It's a bit more than a splutter...

TA of a Primark Coca Cola lip balm. This was years old and no longer tasted of Coca Cola. Binned. I don't need to buy lip balm again this decade and wouldn't buy this one, it's a bit juvenile for me now.
Iirc it was an emergency purchase one dry-lipped winter's day on the way home from work.

Will work out a May PP list and add it to the new thread.

Uus for the last day of the month:

Monuspa Ginger and Olive oil massage warming oil - sample from a beauty box. Very relaxing aroma but would not but it especially.

Sleek SPF 30 Foundation - Very good colour match for darker skins but can look cakey after a few hours. WMBA.

A few more UUs over the last couple of days to end the month:
    - Elemis Papaya Enzyme peel WDBA - favourite mask, have been though multiple tubes
    - Benefit California Kissin mini. WNBA (though got in a kit) Fine but I prefer tinted balms
    - Roques Oneil Therapie serum 30ml WDBA - best serum/facial oil I've used, love it, this was my second bottle. I've a few others to use first though.
    - 2 bottles John Frieda Sheer Blonde shampoo. Not sure which ones as I had decanted them into a 500ml pump bottle, but the whole range works for me.
    - Intuition razor. WDNB. Got in a beauty box. Hated it. Wore down unevenly, heavy and clumsy, got dirty very easily, just not pleasant.
    - Elemis Frangipani Monoi body oil 35ml size. WDBA - looooove this, best thing I've ever found to put on my skin. Shame it's so expensive :(

So quite a few things off off the PP list for April...

    PP list for the month:
    - [STRIKE]Tigi dumb blonde Conditioner (current bottle, not new)[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Monu primer[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Philip Kingsley Elasticizer[/STRIKE]
    - Clinique eye serum
    - [STRIKE]Benefit lip gloss[/STRIKE]
    - Organic Surge face wash
    - Crabtree & Evelyn Shower gel
    - [STRIKE]Elemis Papaya enzyme face mask[/STRIKE]
    - [STRIKE]Organic Surge body cream[/STRIKE]

And I'll join in with a summer challenge too - 5 by summer:
    - Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Just want rid of this, but there’s nothing wrong with it, so I have to use it up :P
    - Erno Laszlo face cream
    - Kedma eye cream (using on d!colletage)
    - Ark face scrub
    - Soap and Glory Micellar water – has cucumber in it, which I hate (I can smell it), but I haven’t got much other makeup remover, so might as well use it.

The other items in the April challenge are spluttering, so I'll roll over into May, and hopefully they'll be done very soon.

    Hi

    Happy Bank Holiday to everyone.

    Here is my weekly update:-

    UU
    Santex Deodorant
    Superdrug B Micellar Solutions
    Body Shop Satsuma Body Cream
    Carmex Lip Balm

    In
    Sure Sensitive Deodorant x 2
    Asda Little Angel Bath Oil

    Total 94

Heartbroken that Avon has discontinued their Avon Skin So Soft Original Bath Oil. They had been selling it over 40 years so now trying out alternative bath oil that is cheap.

Before I forgot Superdrug are selling Sure Roll Deodorant for half price currently
  • Despite every shop having sales today and offers, i resisted and only bought some hair ties.

I threw out an old bottle of bed head conditioner and shampoo as it seemed to split in to some water and goo mix. It worryingly made my hands feel like it was stinging so very relieved to let it go,

Thanks Fixx and Savingfortomorrow for the Estee Lauder Double Wear opinions. I'll use my samples and see how I go.

My first PP list was a bit enthusiastic, especially as I only started it mid month!

    [STRIKE]Vaseline – Advanced Repair body lotion – 400ml[/STRIKE]
Sanex – hand cream - using every few days
Soap & Glory – Pulp Friction body scrub – 250ml - using weekly, this may take a while
St Tropez – In Shower Gradual Tan Medium – 200ml - using weekly
    [STRIKE]Simple – Foaming Cleanser – 150ml[/STRIKE]
Biore – Charcoal Pore Minimiser scrub – 92ml - using weekly
Neutrogena – Spot Stress Control foaming face wash – 150ml - using weekly, this may take a while
    [STRIKE]Toni&Guy – Reboost dry shampoo – 250ml[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]John Frieda – Thickening Blow Dry lotion – 125ml[/STRIKE]
Eucryl – Tooth Whitening powder – 50g- using weekly, this may take a while
Vitabiotics – Perfectil Plus Hair supplements – Exp May 2017 - using twice weekly, too potent on my stomach
Dior - Addict 2 and J'Ador perfumes – travel size – getting old. Using every few days, may take a while to finish

Simple – Cream eye make up remover – 100ml - using weekly
Boots Botanics – All Bright make up remover – 150ml - using daily
    No7 – Stay Perfect mascara – 7ml - haven't even tried yet
Bourjois – Volume Glamour Ultra Curl mascara – 12ml - using on weekends only
Benefit – Black They're Real Push Up Liner - haven't used in April yet
Neutrogena CC cream light – 50ml - LHJ
    No7 – Beautiful Skin BB Cream Normal/Oily Fair – 40ml - using on weekdays
Rimmel - Stay Matt pressed powder 005 – 14g - need to buy new brush for it
Revlon – Plumping lipgloss 01 -7ml – starting to separate - haven't used in April yet
Max Factor – long lasting 120 red + balm – starting to dry - used once in April
Max Factor – long lasting nude + balm – starting to dry - used several times

    INs - 8 (1 make up, 1 cleanser, 2 deodorants and 4 freebie mini/samples)
    UUs - 7
    OUTs - 3

I'm happy with my progress though, as I have a schedule of how to use them up. I even resisted buying the new Aveeno yogurt range - I need Aveeno but I have always disliked the scent so I was so excited to see these - they do smell lovely.

It's May! I took the liberty of starting The May Thread as there wasn't one yet.
See you over there everybody - newbies and former lurkers especially welcome. :)

  • Oh dear, I really haven't kept up - it's May!

Some more INs, only for my hateful scalp.
    15. L’Oreal Phytoclear Soothing Shampoo - bought this to try. It's not bad, does stop the itching for the most part.
16-17. 2 x Vichy Dercos Ultra Soothing Shampoo - after buying the above, chatted to my sister and she reminded me I used to buy this. I had thought it was discontinued as I couldn't get it for ages once they repackaged the whole Dercos range but it's back! It was a third off on Escentual so I got two. Just hope they haven't reformulated it when they repackaged it.

    Also UUs:
    12. Freedom Makeup Primer Water WMBA. I'm not big on primer but once I've used up my other one, I would possibly use the spray type again as it's much quicker.
    13. Ikea Purple candle WDBA. Really nice floral smell, cheap, burn well.
    14. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel sachet WMB. Think this could be good for summer. It's very light on the skin but still feels hydrating
    15. Primark Moroccan Rose Candle WBA but I don't think they make it anymore. Smells like Lush Rose Jam!

    So totals for April:
    IN 17
    UU 15
    GA 16

Total at beginning of the month 435, now 421. Glad it's gone down, but aware that it's only because of the GAs this month. Must try harder! :)
