Tried Wunderbrow in Black/Brown. The eyeliner brush was perfect to apply it with. It applied quite well but was tricky to ensure an even application on the skin to fill in the gaps. Stays put, and comes off easily with water based cleanser.

The Ecotools Kabuki brush I bought to use for my pressed powder foundation was a fail, it did say it was a finishing brush and it really is, as it picks up no product. I had used a different brand of kabuki brush before and it was great, should have believed the package description. This means I need to buy another brush :-(

    UU
Aussie Mega Instant Dry Shampoo 180ml - Good. My OH and I share some dry shampoos so we get through them. 1 of 3 Aussie dry shampoos - used a P&G voucher to purchase. Received after complaining that Herbal Essences Naked dry shampoo bottles kept clogging / stopped working. 1 of the 3 Aussie products doesn't work! The bottles design is exactly the same as the Herbal Essences bottle, what a joke. Don'y buy P&G dry shampoos unless you want to risk them not working. *Rant over*

Vaseline – Active Fresh deodorant – 150ml - Didn't work great, didn't like the smell.

Yep, I'm using this at the moment, and I'm not a huge fan. It's just ok in my experience. Coverage is medium, lasting power is medium, bottle gets quite messy quickly, and it's quite runny.

Personally I prefer a thicker foundation that I can then sheer out if I want, and something a bit longer lasting.

I used it once before, quite liked it, so eventually bought again - but had the 'colour match' thing at a counter. The first match was waaaaaay off! So so very orange. The girl saw the look of horror on my face and found me a lighter one, which looked ok in store, but I found it was still too dark when I got it home and in natural light. It's ok now that I'm a little more tanned, but I'm just using it up.

(Things I prefer and will switch to after:
    - Erborian cc creme
    - Clinique beyond perfecting foundation
    - Laura Gellar balance and brighten baked foundation
various combinations of these 3 seem to work perfectly for whatever I need each day :) )

  • Hi everyone,

I hope folks have had a nice Saturday.
I have had a few naughty but not that naughty ins.

    From Neals Yard
Rose and Mallow Moisturiser (I had a sample of this and loved it so I hope it works out well)
Rose facial oil bit of a wildcard as not tried but I've tried other rose facial oils and liked them
Eye make up remover as my current one is about to run out

    Then from TKMaxx
    1 'modeling/rubber mask'
    1 sheet mask
    Both Korean brands

UU the modeling mask and it was hilarious but so satisfying and skin did feel good right after it. Not totally convinced they're incredible but they are so fun and does feel like a properly elaborate pamper.

For those who haven't heard of these they come as a powder and you add water to them it makes a thick algae rich Jelly substance that sets like a kind of rubber. You apply it really really thick. I didn't stir mine fast enough so had lots of lumps I looked very odd.
  • Ooo nearly forgot had a mini clear out

TA 2 very old sun creams
GA 2x Khiels samples, 4 pore strips, and the GWP size of Omorvicza cleansing foam

fixx and sunny_money ... I use the estee lauder double wear from time to time and i have mixed feelings on it. It lasts so long as a bottle even when used everyday, it lasts on the face every day. However, the colours are very yellow. I have a lot of pink under tones and after row with an assistant because I wanted a sample of a pink toned foundation, I really feel less affinity for this brand. They seem to think every one wants to look like a tanned mask and heavy layer of make up that has been shovelled on to the face.

There pink tones are not great and you really need to see it in natural light. However, with the right shade and light application, this foundation lasts perfectly all day with no need for sprays or retouching. It will last through wind, hail and snow, humidity and is holiday sunshine proof. it is nearly waterproof and is fast to apply. It has great coverage and is excellent value for money as it is very pigmented. I am going to adjust the cool bone 1c1 to a paler colour by adding body shop white drops.

Last UU of the month I think :-

Mini bottle of OPI Pink Nail Envy - I'd use this again if in a kit but wouldn't seek it out to purchase singularly. Have a Nude Nail Envy to use next which has is a good 3/4 full of product.

    So I had :-

9 INs : Treated myself to a perfume and face mask on holiday. The other 9 items were needed replacements : Shave cream, Cup o Coffee, deodorant, dry shampoo x 2 and Tea Tree skin wash x 2

Did buy 2 x nail colours but don't count these as they are my guilty pleasure.

    UU: 21

TA : 3 nail colours (to make room for new ones!).

    PP List for May:-

    Boots Extracts Mango body scrub
Liz Earle Lavender and Basil hand repair
    Mandara Spa body butter
Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean
    Boots acetone nail polish Remover
Liz Earle Skin Repair moisturiser (night cream)
    Tarte foundation
    Diamond resort body lotion

5 by Summer. As I've finished a couple of items and there a good 2 months left I'm swapping in 2 items. The goal is not to finish them but to keep them in rotation:-

Leighton Denny I love juicy lacquer. I can see gaps in the bottle and this will need thinner to keep it going. May be UUed or TA before challenge over.

No7 eyeshadow. One of the teeny ones that come with GWP. Will keep out to use as base and see how far I get with it.

Kat Von D eyeliner - still going strong! Surely must be finished by the end of the challenge?

Urban Decay Vice eyeliner. Will make more effort to use this.

The Body Shop Amazonian Lily perfume. No matter how much of this I spray it doesn't go down.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

sunny - I had exactly the same problem with Herbal Essences dry shampoo, half way done and they stop working, I complained and got vouchers too.

    I have a little in

Charcoal Konjac Sponge - from TK Maxx for £3.99, this is the best price I have seen and I have been wanting to try for a while.
