#1. The people that run these "sell your house and rent back" companies are generally lying thieves and are best avoided

#2. This time next year house prices in general will be lower than they are now

#3. Cheap houses are a good thing not a bad thing

    And the results are in…

Large International Organisation have decided that they don’t want me for the role I applied for… They have something much much better that I would be “perfect” (their words) for.

Looks like it’s going be another interview…

Eeek! Hopefully I’ll get it. I can’t open the champagne just yet.

CFO job gone but CEO has decided to spend more time with his money then?

It's great. You've got a promotion before you even start!

    Ha ha ;)

I am only minutes from central London on the bus (about 20)

And I can see the London Eye from my living room window - the New Year's Eve fireworks were great from the comfort of my own home - and on a quiet night, at about 2am, when the wind's blowing the right way, I can even hear Big Ben chiming :D

But I do live over 2 miles away and in a right dodgy area :rotfl:

Sos DG I never came back to you

Yes, Ill be there. Mr Power says he has better things to do than sit with us sad cases debating the contents of estate agents windows so he'll be off doing something less boring instead. Saying that, where theres beer, he does tend to surface, so he might come along later.

    Come RZL come :j
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

I'm going to be there with my other half from 2pm (if he hasn't wandered off around Borough Market first...)

    Looking forward to it!

    Who else is coming?

Oh, and still Large International Organisation are messing about, but I had a very odd call from some people from a large chocolate producing company who want to know if I fancy being their technical research director and lead a team of scientists. Hello! I'm 24!

Wow! That's impressive! And Chocolate! You gonna come and live near me then? If it's THAT chocolate company.

We have friends that work there. I am often given Star Bars by them. I am often in their house! ;)

It's not *that* chocolate company (you're in B'ham, right?)..

I think they've got the wrong person. There is no way they are going to offer a relatively recent grad a 100K job to lead a technical team. I just don't have the experience!
