Already? That was quick! When do you start at small hedge fund thing?

No. I think you should decide. Which one has the best toilets and can I stagger to the train station? Do not get the toilet thing wrong!

For goodness sake, you sound like Mrs Generali.

Monday week. Got a week with my feet up theoretically at least. I suspect Mrs Generali and the Generalissimos will find a few things to fill my time with. Hopefully I'll get out on the bike a bit for a bit of North Downs, off road time.

Is the Market Porter the consensus choice? Make a pick and I can check out the facilities. Goodness knows what'll be said when I march into the Ladies' on Monday afternoon (I'll be in town to sort out Blackberry, passwords etc so would be best to get it all done in one hit).

I'd be happy with that - I know where it is and I won't be short of food outside if I get hungry! I do wonder whether it would pass the toilet test but maybe I'm taking it a bit too far! I can see this becoming an integral part of any conversation I have on the day :o As long as they are heated and don't stink, I will live.

I think Montag should bring his new laydee for the weekend. The area is a good place to spend the morning :) I've booked my hotel, so I'm in town, whatever the weather! Visit to fish! in order beforehand maybe - or what's the nice one that I never made it to on my hen weekend? Bankside? Something like that?

Any objections? If not I'll be in the ladies' of the Market Porter on Monday.

It would be politick to allow Melissa a response as she brought up the idea in the first place.

I am still watching this thread, don't think I'll be coming there though.

No idea where you're on about as I've not been to London.

Have to look a bit closer to the time and make a rash judgement call .... although hoping to get the chance to go and stay with a hottie down on the south coast any weekend now. Exes rock.

Well done on the job Generali. 50% pay cut ... you'll be needing to go over to the cheap nasty food board to find out how to feed the family for £2/month using only 2 loaves from the bins round the back of Lidl and armed only with a fishing hook and a google earth map of local allotments!

    :)

'course. Mel's been too polite in letting us lot choose :o I picked the date, so I can't possibly pick venue!

Good to make a final decision as maybe then we can have a roll call :)

Thanks. Luckily, I used to be a chef so I can cook a good meal for very little cash. Anyone can do a steak. It's much harder to turn shin of beef or lambs' liver into something worth eating. I won't be eating rubbish, just using the Generali cooking brain a little more creatively is all.

It's going to be a tough year or two. The gravy train should be back on track after that though.

Lummy you do move quick, I have to give three months' notice! Don't think I'll be able to make this one, still think Girlie might be weirded out by my cyber-buddies. Sorry, would loved to have met y'all.
"Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.

    I am on 1 hour's notice :)
    Both ways :(

But then I guess you're probably on 4-10x what I get / much more important.

I doubt it, public sector innit.
