Love the idea of the stones in the vase, our collection of 'things we have collected on holiday' live in the kitchen on the wooden pelmets of the windows but they are too high up really. Much prefer your vase idea.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Wow, it's ages since I've posted!
Got to try and remember what I've been up to.
I'm completely skint this month so no pads. 2 birthdays, 2 lots of father's day (DH and my Dad) and lots of school money required - trips, activities, disco, fete, donations, there are school photos this week so I had to buy little jwil a new polo shirt despite previously refusing to as it's so close to the end of term. It's never ending! I drew the line at spending £5 on a flipping yoyo!
DH's car's water pump went, so that was another hassle.
We've had some good ebay sales, so that's helped remove some of the pressure thankfully, but there seem to be loads of non-payers about at the moment
I had a letter from one of my creditors asking for a review. In the letter they also offered a F&F settlement but didn't offer a figure. I've sent back my financial statement, and also a F&F offer of less than 20%. I don't believe for a second that they will agree it, but I'm curious as to what they might come back with. The debt has been sold on, but is enforceable. It's one of my smaller debts, so it would be nice to clear it, though it would pretty much wipe out my debt savings.
I'll just have to wait patiently!
We haven't been booting but have been adding stuff to the stash so we might try and sell some stuff this weekend.
I've still been getting up early to do my walks. I'm halfway through week 5 now. I did get a painful knee after running last week, so am strictly back to walking and am doing some strengthening exercises too which I think are helping. I'm another 2lb down too without any big changes to my diet :T :T I've tried to reduce snacking and chocolate intake which is obviously helping. :j
My email inbox has reduced significantly as a result of ditching some of the survey sites, it's nice to see. I've cashed out a £2 amazon voucher today and will cash out on PA later as well.
My friend's funeral is later this week"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone, still not much being done in the way of debtbusting. Roll on payday!
We did do a boot sale at the weekend, and cleared some more stuff. The kids did better than us :rotfl:
A few ebay sales as well mean some more has left the house.
Not an awful lot to report otherwise."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Well done on the sales every penny helps
So sorry to hear about your friend xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050
