I love it when you get loads done. Three of the kids have gone to their dad's for the weekend and my ex is going to take the youngest two for the day tomorrow, so tomorrow there will only be me and the oldest at home and she pretty much sorts herself out. This doesn't happen often so I plan on making the most of the day. Will do lots of tidying and sorting and cleaning and probably go to the gym for a bit. I can't wait and you getting your list done has spurred me on for the day!

Enjoy the rest of your child free day!

    Thank you, it's very satisfying!

Have a good day today :)
Blimey you're on fire Jwil, what a productive day :T.

Thanks HHD, I calmed down after that, and did a bit of reading :D

Went out to the car boot sale this morning. I misbehaved :o

Now that I am coming to the end of my never-ending 'to be read' pile, I have started looking at books again. Today I bought a collection of 16 Charles Dickens books  I only paid £3 for them so it's not so bad, but it will take me ages to get through them. I also bought 4 books for little miss (80p) some dressing up shoes (10p), binoculars for little jwil (50p) and kids sunglasses (10p).

Aww thank you :D Not really needed though. You can remind me of this when I'm next moaning about the clutter :rotfl:

I've just worked it out, I paid 18.75p each for them. I sell my books for 20p at the car boot sale. Once I've read them and sold them I'll be in profit by 20p  :rotfl: They were in unread condition, I couldn't pass it up

    Today's pads:

    £2.75 to Mortgage
    £2.00 to debt savings
    £5.35 to em savings

    Debt savings - [STRIKE]£19,320[/STRIKE]/£18,179 - £1141 paid :T

We had a good weekend in sales, 11 parcels posted yesterday, another 6 today, and a few still to pay up. A few bulky things gone including one which I've miscalculated the postage on and means we've made about £1 on it  Definitely not worth the hassle, but at least it's gone, and at least I didn't pay them to have it, which I've done before :rotfl:

I've received £13.95 from a survey site today, and cashed in from PA so awaiting that too.

My 'save the change' account is up to £3.05 already :T Although they sent over £1.40 so I'm not sure how that works as I thought it was meant to be rounded up to the nearest £1. It shows how quickly it can grow though, and I can dip into it anytime, so if I'm left short I can get it back without penalty. It will be nice to see it grow though!

    £5.13 received from PA today.

We've had the proofs back from the nursery photos and they are lovely :smileyhea We've never been that happy with them before. They did a sitting with them both individually, and then one with them together. They are so flipping expensive, so we'll just have to pick one of each or something.

  • I've never understood the pricing of school photos. They know parents will want to buy them so have a captive audience. They were expensive when mine were at school and my baby is 43 by
  • It's so hard not to buy nursery/school photos, especially when they come out well, and they are sooooo expensive. It's like a license to print money!
