You would receive a screen shot of the agreement you electronically signed.
Realistically more recent accounts taken out online, are easier to comply with as everything is, or should be, stored electronically.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. How far back exactly is “ever” ?
It’s quite a non specific question really, the law says information should only be held for 6 years, therefore “ever” can only relate to the last 6 years in my opinion.
So if the information has dropped off your credit file, you should not have to declare it.
Thanks for that...never thought of it like that, but that is a good way of thinking about it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Thanks for the replys. I will go ahead with the request for my tesco credit card then as although this was done online it was in 2004.0 -

Good Luck:beer:
2 of my credit card debts date from 1999 but the paperwork that came back from my CCA requests was fully compliant:(. I got them both checked just to make extra sure but everything was OK and the debts still have to be paid:mad:. There's more chance of pre-2007 debts being unenforceable than newer ones but it isn't always the case that they are. Trust me to have creditors who kept impeccable records:mad:0 -

Yeah to be honest I am in the mindset that none are unenforceable and if one comes back and is then I will see it as a bonus. All this self managing is keeping me busy and I have not even begun properly yet. In a weird sort of way I am looking forward to the challenge while knowing I will be reducing my debts. I would never have considered going alone but this forum has really motivated me and I have learnt so much from other people.0 -

Don't forget to check for PPI on all accounts as well. This can be done for free using Resolver through MSE
You may not think you ever had any PPI but it's always worth checking as sometimes it was added without customer's being aware of it.DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

We are in a DMP (self administered) been doing so for 3 years without issues.
Now out of the blue one of our creditors, Cabot Financial, has begun calling our relatives trying to speak with us. Our home phone was disconnected as part of our money saving activity, and we declined to give any creditors our mobile numbers. We have asked all of them to correspond by post only, and this is the first time we have had anyone step out of line.
Questions - is it legal for them to call our relatives? and supplementary to that, what on earth should we do about it?
Many thanks all!Travelling hopefully 🏃0
