My FIL buys the kids one4all cards from the Post Office as gift cards for christmas/birthdays and these are for all intents and purposes prepaid credit cards. AM not sure how much you can load on them though, but this is what you are thinking of. Quick google shows £400 max upload amount onine, not sure whether more in person at the PO
