I should stop myself whinging as in 6 years i will be 37/38 and hopefully MF before the kids go to secondary school while having been a SAHM which most people would kill to do wouldn't they, so it is not like i have anything to moan about.

Although i think we will always want to do it better, faster, and still live wouldn't we.

OMG - you are only 31! I am 48 _pale_

Strictly speaking I could be your Mum :rotfl: A very young mum, but your mum nontheless!

To be honest I've been thinking about what we spend on our kids and I'm not sure Uni is going to be that bad! Our eldest son's guitar lessons cost £28 per hour, then there's the costs of their football and other sports, dinner money is £3 a day, school trips, parties, etc etc. Thankfully, neither of them are massively into clothes. I'm sure we can give them enough to live on and that it might not feel that bad....?
  • My mum is only 50 so yes i suppose you could. :rotfl:

I'll not ask for any pocket money though. ;)

Having just 16 more repayments left and having to think about financing Uni has given me a new lease of life for money saving. I'm gonna try really hard to reduce our food bills and also think about our energy use again. It's been so cold :snow_laug and we have been so ill ill-violated-dead-smiley-9437.gif that things have really slipped on the heating front.

Anyway, we have about £8k set aside as a college fund, I need to try to add to that pronto....

....there's no end to this money saving business is there?

I think that everyone understands that health is more important that saving on heating and sometimes a warm house and a hot bath just makes you feel better. Also Smlet will need a cosy house for when you babysit :D :rotfl:

Even when you're officially MF you'll have to keep posting on here smf2 - we're not letting you leave
