I can't tell you how much I appreciated it! :T:T:T
I remember when I first started to post on this board there were constant attacks against everyone for wanting to be MF - idiots (amongst other things) we were called.
Well the MF Roll of honour is growing by the day and, personally, I'm glad to be an idiot:D
Thanks Again for your support on that other board0 -

Not on this board
Our eldest son is going to (hopefully) Uni in autumn 2012 and he won't get a great deal of student loans as we earn too much. I was daft enough to start a thread enquiring about how much parents give their kids for maintenance costs. The abuse I had hurled at me was something else. Basically they (the resident trolls on the board) think I am an interferring parent. I think they actually believe my kids should tell me how much they want (lol - dream on ) or something.... actually, I'm not quite sure what their problems were most of the time!
On top of all this, however, the system is changing next year. I have a horrible feeling that Student Loans are going to look like a really bad deal. Loans start at RPI + 1% and top out at RPI + 3% at the top rate. RPI is currently a tad under 5%. There are going to be penalties if you try to overpay and you are only going to be able to pay a small amount back each year!!!!
So I was also wondering if students/parents should actually been taking out these loans.
Anyway, on top of the abuse I have had some lovely PMs from nice MSEers and really it's only a few posters who have been horrible. And I have learned alot so it's not all bad:D
What Fun!
The thread is here if you want to join in!:D

but I suspect for most you Uni is way in the distant future (lucky you!)...0
