Hi SMF2
Great news on the finance front, not to mention the SMF2 clothes:D
I'm not really expecting a pay rise this year and my pay scale has been frozen (although I still have a way to go to reach the top:rolleyes: )
As for bonuses, hmm, really not sure how that one will go as I work in an industry that has been taking a lot of press flack recently over bonuses, that said, even when I have had one in the past it is usually less than £1000 so who knows if I'll get one this year or how much it will be.
Regards

SMF2
I think you were quite right to have purchased some replacement clothing, your note on prior expenditure indicates you have been "working" your existing assets but they do wear out and need to be replaced. Perhaps now you can start a strategy of slow replacement so you don't have all items reaching the time for replacement at once, and you spread the expenditure. It is important to feel good and be presentable in public for your own confidence if nothing else.
That said our family average spend on clothes and shoes since Jan08 is running at £188 per month, which once the Next bill for sales items we bought in late December comes through on the March credit card, which is due for payment in April, will lift that to £199 per month average. So I think you have been very good!

Fab news on the bonus SMF. Now if I had that I would have hit my target for the year. Oh well, I can dream...need to work those assets a bit more, I think.

Thanks for all your encouragement.
This is what I have been spending on clothes for my two growing boys over the last 6 years:-
Year to April
2004 £349
2005 £703
2006 £858
2007 £917
2008 £1,159
2009 £859
So you can see they are steadily getting more and more expensive. It's the rate of their growth plus the clothes getting more expensive, especially their High School uniform. All their clothes including coats fit into easily into a standard sized wardrobe. So I don't really over buy. I do try and buy them things they want to wear, so I don't mind them buying something a little bit expensive if they'll wear it.
Anyhoo, they are worth every penny;)0 -
