Good PAYG SIM-only deal with data?

I'm losing my company phone deal in a few weeks (it's on a BT mobile contract), but keeping my smartphone. Hence I'll be looking for a good PAYG SIM-only deal. I've tried the comparison sites, but they only seem to provide SIM-only deals for monthly-pay contracts. Can anyone advise on where to find a good deal?

My requirements are:
- SIM only
- Reasonably priced GPRS data access (with overseas GPRS roaming)
- About 60mins calls per month - mainly to mobiles
- About 30 texts per month
- Not T-Mobile (my phone isn't compatible with T-Mobile GPRS)
- I'd like to keep my current number.

TIA for any pointers.

er, what's so special about T-mobile GPRS that your phone doesn't work with it? If it's a Windows Mobile Smartphone it should work. AFAIK it will be hard to find a better deal than you get with them.
The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster! :)

It's an Eten Glofish M700, which both other users and vendors have confirmed will not work with T-Mobile GPRS.

Anybody have any suggestions for a good PAYG SIM-only deal?
  • I've looked before and never found PAYG with data so would also be interested if anyone digs one up.

3 are doing PAYG with 200GB data/month as a £5 bolt on. Can anyone confirm that this will work with GPRS as well as 3G as I'm tempted to switch from my O2 contract with 5MB GPRS for £4 bolt on/month.

Can you post the link for this as i've checked the Three website and it states it is £2.50 per week.

That's still correct for a week but £5 will give you a month.

Here's an older link which details the 2GB/month limit for £5.

I've gone into one of the shops and confirmed that this offer is still valid.

Just as an aside, I keep reading posts here saying how 3 is great value, but from looking at their site it seems that PAYG mobile-to-mobile calls to other networks are 30p a minute, which is double what Orange charge on their speak-easy tariff. Have I missed something here??

If you're happy with the rest of the O2 service, the O2 data Bolt-On is now 200mb for £7.50 per month.

200MB or 2GB for £2.50 less. 3 is going to win for me.

I used to be with Orange, IIRC it was £4 per month for more than enough GPRS for my needs....
