    Beanie I missed your message about Big Kids. We did have two children, one 5 and one 2. How does it work, for anyone else reading this who may want to save at Edinburgh zoo?

    We had a great day. I made use of the transport around the site. The best bits of the zoo were the penguin and panda and the pig and armadillo in animal antics.
    The best bits of the day were seeing DGS and DGD faces when they saw animals they love.


    Now i am shattered and in pain so will be resting and doing a little bit of sewing today.

    There is a minibus and a taxi to get round the site. I used the minibus to get to the top and then walked down part of the way. I didn't go to see all the animals but saw a fair number. The gave me a sheet with all the pick up and drop off points. From these you can pick up a lift on the main circuit round or you can phone and they will come and collect you. Only disadvantage was we waited almost half an hour for a pickup at around 4pm when people were going home.

    We also chose Monday as schools in Scotland had gone back but discovered that there were lots of children enjoying the last day of the holidays.

    Lazy day yesterday, just sitting and chatting with my family. No money spent.
