Ovo payment for cottage has gone down to £112 now. It is still above their recommended level for us but I paid £155 at the higher rate this month. Huge difference. It just shows how careful you need to be. I also don't tell everyone about the heated electric bathroom floor as people were just leaving it on 24hrs a day. Seems to be saving us money.
I spent my PIP money on things I needed this month. I bought a new shower stool. New, to me, waterproof coat (£20) on Fbook. It is a Craghopper, £90 in sale for latest model. I have bought frames for my sea pictures to put them up as i find looking at them relaxing and soothing. My counsellors idea. Paid for new brake pads on my car. And a hair cut. It went a long way....
I have also spent on stocking our larder so we dont keep running into town (10 mile round trip) for a bag of sugar etc.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Great spends there Pooh! You certainly got the most out of that payment!
I did verbatim. Then discovered that DS3 had sent me £100 which added to it. I kept checking my balance and knew how much I had left, but I had extra £100 all along.
DWP also didn't pay me the full amount owed so I need to chase it up.
We have family here from USA now so lots of cups of tea and chatting.
DD came over and she and Mr P cooked dinner for everyone. 10 of us. Almost everyone here but I feel okay about DS3 not being here with his wife as he was here two weeks ago and I chat his wife on fbook.
I am continuing to be careful with money while they are here. Will update SIG when I get a quiet time.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

All sounding good

Yah for the extra £100.
Is this your first PIP payment?
If so, I understand that there can be a shortfall due to the change in payment dates and that DLA was partly paid in advance & PIP is fully in arrears.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. This is a continuation beanie. But now I understand. They paid me the correct amount if they pay a month in arrears. I thought the amount they were going to pay on the 8th was back payment to 7th June. Then I would also receive my new monthly payment. So what I received was a smaller back payment as it was one month instead of two.
I spent £15 yesterday at a cream tea and bring and buy in aid of leprosy charity. I took DDIL and her mom. They loved it.
I will need to be extremely careful about spending while they are here. Although I am always. The beginning of the month felt very strange, spending on just me. But everyone else will benefit, too, from the pictures and the car having good brakes.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

We had a day at home yesterday after a very buy Thursday and Friday.
Thursday was dentist in Northumberland, then a tour of Hexham abbey(free) and a visit to Vindolanda (paid from my lovely US friend), then afternoon tea. Phew, a busy day.
Friday, quiet day at home, then Kynren. It was amazing and my US family and friend absolutely loved it.
Today cottage cleaning, visit from cousin and husband. They brought huge, lovely lunch and helped clean the cottage as did my US friend.
We have plans to visit Edinburgh zoo on Monday. I wanted to stay at home but they all insist I go. DD has checked out help for differently abled people.
