Ditching TV licence and the BBC weather site

After an abysmal couple of months of TV where I only watched 11 programs in total I'm considering ditching my TV licence when its up for renewal in June. My question relates to the BBC weather site. I don't have a smartphone I have a Nokia 1112 that I only turn on when I want to make a call.
Its a good point though that if you have a smartphone you don't need TV weather reports or news. A lot of modern technology now overlaps. More reasons not to watch live TV.
