Hi everyone
My 16 year old is spending £10 per day on the internet (mostly MSN) on his pay-as-you-go mobile phone.
Despite several "discussions" he won't stop.
Does anyone know how to remove internet browsing from his Sony Erikson K550i to stop him using it altogether? He is on Orange
Many thanks

Is the phone in your name or his name, and where does he get the money to put in it?
Maybe at 16 years old you are going to have to let him make his own mistakes?Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
I have not used the SE interface before. But I do know on Nokia's you can go to "application manager" and uninstall programs. Also it is possible to remove settings by going to Settings>Connection>Access Points
Hopefully will be of some use to you, otherwise take the phone away and replace it with a very basic handsetSLC: £13000+
Quidco: £131.24 (paid) + £0 (validated) = £131.24

Ring up the network and tell them to bar web access. They should be able to do this. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Have to agree here, just stop paying, let him pay & if he can't let him get a job to do it
He may as well learn at 16 that money has to earned before it is spent, or find himself dealing with debt at 26Gardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
Hi
Thanks for your replies. He is using EMA from college to top up then borrowing money for bus fares and lunch! Should I make him walk 13 miles & buy his own lunch - maybe am soft?0 -
No not soft, just a being taken for a mug IMO
Can you not buy him a monthly bus pass & let him go hungry if he spends his lunch money?
You could take the handset off him & look here, new "free service" but no such thing as free lunch of course
