When you watch News at Ten do you watch the current live version or one you recorded 7 weeks ago ?
When you watch News at Ten, do you start watching it from 9am in the morning just in case they broadcast it early? My bank updates to the CRA's once a month, my credit cards update the CRA's once a month, paying for a subscription would mean a whole lot of "no change" days whilst I wait for the creditors to send in their update.

Your score can change many times in a month, that's the whole point isn't it ???

People look at their file when a problem arises, such as a default, you need to know the current position , whatever it is you are addressing, you need the most up to date info !!!

Constantly says the agency scores are important...

Encourages people to pay agency subscriptions for regular reports...

Which credit agency do you work for?

    They are

If you want up to date and detailed info, yes

    I don't work for anyone.....

Noddle is very out of date, period

Experian through Barclays is updated every 60 days

Most people who post on here have a problem or issue NOW ......so you want the sharpest tools at your disposal to fully understand the situation

If you don't want to pay £40 a month ( less than I spend on coffee) to get the most accurate and up to date information possible, you are not serious about resolving anything

If you want to spend £100 a month on credit reports and coffee, that's up to you, but please note the title of this website.

Well it shouldn't really, not if your goal is to make it the best it can be. CRA's love stability, applying for lots of credit etc will negatively impact on your score (and from previous posts I see score is important to you).
My score rarely changes, it hadn't for a year (clearscore has the history graph) and only did because I've made a few applications (new CC and change bank account). Does yours change so much?

Maybe I should start another website ?

    Credit Gaining Expert ?

My point is, anyone in this part of the forum has a credit score based question, repeated telling them that scores don't matter is useless to anyone

If you do what all the experts say, your score will go up, so whats the problem ???

Mine dips every 3 months, when I add new cards, then recovers.................during this time I run one card ( the next one due a credit limit increase) up to say, £2k, and pay £1500 off, the following month I clear the balance................my limits go up every time, quickly and in big lumps, which is what im after

    My score reflects this perfectly
  • The credit scores aren't random or meaningless - they are just one entity's interpretation of "good" and "bad".

However they are largely irrelevant since they don't represent specific lenders' interpretations of "good" and "bad".

Few here will agree with you that these scores are so vitally important. Far too many examples of low scores achieving credit, and high scores being turned down for anyone to put that much stock in them.

So Equifax and Experian have it all wrong, and a few blinkered souls on the web have it sussed, their experience being a few articles they read in The Sun ???
