  • ELONA I am so envious! DD got married in Sorrento in the Cloisters of St Francis. We did lots of sightseeing whilst there including a visit to Pompeii in 40 deg heat ( It was August in a heatwave!) We also took the bus along the coast (not for the faint hearted!) to Amalfi town and came back by boat. Beautiful. Also took the bus to Positano which is well worth a visit. So quaint wandering down the twisty, turny narrow streets to the sea at the bottom. There are so many lovely places to visit you will be spoilt for choice.

(The marriage didn't last but that's another story!!)

    Good evening everyone :hello:

We have heat :j, we have hot water :j I am so happy and there is a queue of teenagers waiting to get into the shower :D.

Hubby and the girls put the kitchen back together and I took the opportunity to sort out various cupboards. It is tidy now which has helped my anxieties loads. I cooked a curry for tea and did some online shopping to replace a broken breadbin.

csarina, I am glad you are back at home and the MRI results were better than feared.
Judi, I don't envy you your day tomorrow but like you I am very grateful for the NHS. They have literally saved my life.
newroadahead, prayers sent that your lovely step mum passes peacefully x

Hope you all have a lovely evening whatever you are up to, take care xx

    Hi again
    Finally booked a holiday:j
May not be able to post this weekend as grandchildren are staying over while DD goes for her hypnotherapy session and then she can have a lie in on Sunday, as she looked awful yesterday. Joy of joys I have to share a bed with a wriggly 5 year old and a 7 year old bean pole while DH gets the spare bed ! Will be fit for nothing by Sunday night.
Csarina glad you are home, look after yourself and take things easy.
NRA my thoughts are with you and your family.

    Evening all
    NRA, hugs.
    Csarina, glad you are home.
    Dumpling glad you have heat.
Judi, I frequently get a surprised look when having a smear test, probably because of my piercing!

We have the paperwork through to sign for the boat, she will be officially ours from Wednesday, she was renamed when she was out of the water being blacked, she is now called Apostrophe, it's a long story but we wanted a unique name and my beloved is a Frank Zappa fan and his favourite album is apostrophe. She is currently moored in Northamptonshire and we are in Berkshire, we will be bringing her home over the Easter holidays. I will post a list of our mooring places and approximate timings if anyone wants to see us.

    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
