I am rather worn out but I've ticked a number of frogs off my list (sorry about the mixed metaphor). The coat has been returned to the online shop and the key has been sent to the builder. I remembered to measure the wall baskets in the garden, bought new liners and fitted them straight away. I need plants for them but that can wait at least till tomorrow. The weather was so nice that I even fitted in a run after tea: my warm-up was a rapid clean-out of the guinea pig's cage!

    Housekeeping £0.79
    E book £0.99
    Garden £8.00
    Postage £1.01
    MS stuff:

Didn't bother with a proper dinner, just used up some bits. Not recommended on a regular basis but doesn't hurt once.

Today's meeting at work ended up being nearer four hours and meetings tend to drain me (probably drain most people) though it was useful... anyway I haven't got a great deal else done. We have, however, found a cheap fridge to use at Mum's old house where there isn't a working one: that will make life easier in the summer, I hope. It will have to travel in our car which isn't good for fridges (apparently) and may not be at its best what with coolants needing to settle or whatever it is you do (Cherry fails fridge technician test), but at least it's a fridge!

We got some groceries and pet food... nothing much else to report really. Tomorrow I have training to attend at work and I can't get out of it. :o Still, these extra hours are buying me a day off next week, by which time I'll be more than ready for it!

    Spends:
    Housekeeping £10.05
    Gifts £8.60 (Easter eggs!)
    Pets £5.99 (Actually DH paid)
Fridge to be paid for tomorrow
    MS stuff:
    Fridge for £25 :)

I hate long meetings, always worry I'll fall asleep. And there's always someone who has "any other business" at the end (yawn).

Hope you have a fab relaxing Easter break :)

I'm back! Short post as it's been a series of NSDs. :)

Lol about the meetings... I once actually did fall asleep during a particularly slow, muggy training session, though my colleague said she hadn't noticed. :D

DH and I spent a couple of nights working on Mum's old house - progress is slow but real. The fridge is super: works really well and I can now use the bread bin for bread instead of as an impromptu fridge! (It's plastic so makes a covered bucket for cold water to stand the milk in). We did buy the fridge on Wednesday, coffee and cake on the way there and fish & chips on Thursday night but DH paid for those and the deisel and the estate will pay us back for fuel.

Since then I have been at work, apart for going to look at a house that DS1 and his wife want to buy... how the other half lives! :D IT's been a very long time since we bought a house. I've been so busy I haven't organised a March mortgage overpayment but that can happen next week, the money will still be in the account.

I did pay the lady who keeps an eye on the house for us, but that's estate money not mine.

And now it's Easter: I love Easter though I was hoping for a warm sunny one, and this looks more likely to be cold, possibly with snow. Happy Easter all!

Thank you for the Easter wishes. :) It's been a good weekend - I've been at work but also been able to spend time with family and got to church on Easter morning which always means a lot to me. I decided to be really organised and actually book Easter off next year instead of remembering a few weeks beforehand and discovering I've lost the opportunity. I went online to find when next Easter is and it's not till over a year's time, so I can't book it until next year's leave bookings come free sometime after Christmas, by which time I'll probably have forgotten...

We seem to have spent the last few days fitting in various things and last night I had an overnight at work which turned out a little bit eventful as the power went out, but apart from lost sleep there was no harm done. I came home this morning, went to put a warm jumper on, saw how snuggly looking the bed was and ended up sleeping till noon! I've been very chilled ever since. :) We did go out for a coffee as it's a holiday and the rules say you have to Go Out and Do Something or It Might As Well Not Be a Holiday (apparently). Then a spot of grocery shopping (of which I paid 2p, and found 1p on the way home :D) and an evening meal at DS1's with the wider family.

So not a lot to report financially.

I have another day off tomorrow and I really need to do some housework and decluttering so I hope to report back with lists.

Overpayment of £500 to the mortgage and paid the milk bill so I have something to show for today. I have spent a lot of time trying to book leave for our holiday but there is trouble at mill... the online booking system keeps throwing me off so I've given up for now and have all the complicated bits written down so I don't have it all to research next time I try.

I was going for a run but it chose to tip it down earlier: now it's nice and sunny again but I don't know what I want to do any more... tried booking DD's birthday present tickets but realised I need to double-check dates with her... texted and waiting for a reply.

Had an idea for DS1's and DDiL's housewarming gift but the house isn't even built yet so that won't be coming off this month's money. :D

Texted my friends to see if we're meeting today - I can't remember what we said.

So everything's on hold: I ought to do something useful so maybe half an hour running will make me feel more productive (not fitter: got a way to go to get back to where I was).

    Other things to do:
    prep study material
    practise piano
    defrost pastry for dinner
    put washing in machine
