The shopping trip never happened so I have a lovely NSD under my belt.
The weather was so nice DH and I went for a run instead and I clocked up a new personal best. I'm so proud of myself! Admittedly I could have been a teeny bit faster (overtaken by a couple of slugs) but it was 2K more than my previous best.
Epsom salts in the bath tonight. Got to prevent the aches and pains over the next couple of days!
I gave DH the housekeeping money I owed him but that was against spending I've already accounted for. Mustn't forget I owe the milk money £2 either.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Another beautiful day and so nice to spend time with our grown up kids and their other halves. We went for a long walk too which was a good use of time and energy.
My receipts spike has come so I'm having a bit of fun filling it up. Not actually sorting any receipts, you understand, but sticking them on the spike.
I've transferred £110 from one joint account to the other for a regular payment which requires a cheque but we're still waiting for the cheque book to arrive for one account.
Also put the money aside for the milk bill: £2.13
It's nearly a year since I started this diary! I'm thinking of changing the format a little and having a header post for each week (a bit like TOPM's daily post) in which I group the week's spending. I know this means a lot of bobbing back in and editing but this past week I've found it useful to have the money stuff grouped together.
I also reread my first post and I think it would be interesting (possibly helpful?) to revisit it and see what's changed. I do know there are some rather important financial things like a more suitable bank account and AVCs for my pension about which I need to stop procrastinating, so a list of those would make me feel more answerable.
Spends:
Housekeeping £2.13
MS stuff:
Making a birthday suggestions list! If well thought out it could pay for things I tend to treat myself to, i.e. books and plants.
Confession time:
Still haven't made lemon curd, though I did remember a lemon curd cake recipe which I used to make regularly.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Work went okay apart from the fact I was so organised and yet arrived 5 minutes late.
The difficulty was that all three of us had to leave the house early. I got up before the others and was all sorted out but dodging round the others, discovering the guinea pig needed a drink and running after DH with his lost keys conspired against me. I've put the clock back in the kitchen in the hope that might help next time. At least I have a couple of days off now.
I got quite a lot of shopping in case the weather really is as bad as forecast - though that depends on the forecast. The BBC says -2 for Wednesday night. Google says -12!
We have lots of milk so I made rice pudding for DS. No body has yet commented on the over-buy.
I've found yet more receipts for the spike. I won't bore you with every time I add more from now on! At least he (Spikey) will be warmly clad against the winter weather. :rotfl:
The plan is now to look at the account the mortgage goes out of and do a spot of overpaying towards the mortgage. Hoping it hits the account before 1st. I only got out half the housekeeping money today and the rest can go to the mortgage. I get paid on Wednesday so I can take the rest out then. Saves 1 month's interest on an extra £20.
MS stuff:
Very tasty soup for tea made with discounted fruit and veg.
72p saved with various grocery discounts.
Early birthday present from a loyalty card of a voucher for cake and coffee. Not spent yet!
Confession time:
Bit annoying this, and not my fault but I had a voucher for 50p off clementines at Mr T, and they don't have any at all. Voucher only valid two more days.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I THINK if you go to the help desk they will give you a voucher towards the clementines when they come back in. Worth asking anyway.I Believe.....

I've just worked out what I've saved by adding that £20 to the mortgage payment... (drumroll please!)
