Sorry your feeling a bit under par Cherry,it's good that you have managed to still do things despite this though
I have given away a load of my books by still have some to decide,I have a big collection of non fiction books that I can't decide what to do with, they have not been touched for at least two years so I really can't see the point in keeping them, I also have some books in the top of my wardrobe that I need to get down and have a look at there are three I would like to keep but I think the rest will go, if I'm not intending to read them again I'd rather they went to someone else who could enjoy them
We have set up a book swap at work,so. We now have a box in the staff too where people can leave books for people to borrow,I will take some of mine for that and the rest will probably go to the charity shopOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1200 -

I forgot to add the things I'm thankful for but maybe that's just as well as we've just heard that J and L's new niece has been born and I wouldn't want to have missed her off the list!
Other good things:
DFiL being okay in his temporary home
Trip out with DH
Managing not to buy things in Dun3lm (though they had some cushion covers that are perfect for the lounge)
Really nice paper cup of coffee
Being able to stretch the budget to cook a treat (preliminary tasting is very promising)

Very little to report today. I haven't spent anything but I might tomorrow as I'm having a birthday
. Just the one, as I've had quite a few in the past.
We popped in to see DFiL today and he's looking well but isn't able to get himself into a standing position without help. There seems to be some debate about whether the physio has been to him yet so DH will get in touch with them tomorrow.
The plan for tomorrow is for the family to come round in the evening for silly games and pizza - perfect!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Is your FIL able to use one of those chairs that will help a person to stand? I don't know the name of them but the ex's family member had one and at the press of a button, the chair could move to enable a person to go from sitting to standing.
Pizza and games sound great. Have a wonderful birthday tomorrow :bdaycake:paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Thank you
He has one of those in his own flat and we were wondering if we could get it to the nursing home but it's very bulky! It must have got into the flat somehow, though, so it must be able to get out. We might also see if there's one already at the nursing home that he could borrow: the weekend seems to be a melee of staffing crises though so we didn't even mention it today.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
