A bit of juggling who owes who with DD but it came out even in the end! She paid petrol, I bought snacks, that sort of thing.
ebook £0.99
Clothing £12.00
Toiletries £3.50 + £6.40
Donation £1.00
Entertainment (food and drink) £22.50
Gifts £15.50 + 27.95 + 22.39 + 13.50 = 79.45
… it's really complicated as I paid for part of one shop's goods with a gift voucher and also had 40% off - the whole thing was partly for me and partly for gifts so the £6.40 that I actually ended up paying has been put into toiletries and the gifts appear to be free! Wow.
MS:
The above-mentioned 40% discount
Free parking thanks to DD's friends
Reduced price coffee and cake thanks to DD 'knowing a place'.
£5 off a gift thanks to combining with DD's purchase to reach a target level.

I forget to say, when you have a sore throat or just need extra soothing, some honey or brown sugar stirred into the hot apple juice is lovely. Don't add it when it's heating through or it can get overly hot and burn.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I think DS is okay thanks, though he says his head still feels funny. I gave him a very short talking to ('Well, if you don't want to die, don't take risks'). I think Amaz0n is in agreement as they have already sent the running leggings I've ordered for him! Won't arrive till Monday but there are others in the house he could use. Meanwhile it's the first time in about 3 months that he hasn't run his usual distance so the power of 'I've done this every day since whenever' has been broken.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. Thank you Joey, I'll bear that in mind. I nearly asked DH to pick up juice while he was shopping today and it's as well I didn't as I really fancy some now! Especially with honey and ginger...I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Not much to report today: I bought bread and fruit and a small gift for DFiL who had a slight fall this morning so didn't come for dinner. Later, I spent quite an enjoyable afternoon making soups (mushroom, and leek and potato, in case you're interested) which made good use of various veggies that were taking up space we haven't got. I stopped short of a batch of sweet potato and butternut squash as I'm running out of freezer pots.
Spending:
Housekeeping £2.35
Gift £1.10
MS:
Soup making
Decluttering:
Only if you count two punnets of mushrooms, a lemon, some dried parsley, a pan of potatoes, an onion and two leeks.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks SA. His daughter is visiting as of today so that will cheer him up.
I finally bought Christmas cards today and have written some but run out of oomph. I bought a couple of small gifts that I'd been planning for people and A borrowed my Pr!me account to get free/secret delivery. I got a few bits and pieces towards Christmas food but forgot sprouts. How could I? Mind you I lost my entire list so I'm surprised I even got the things I did.
I have a couple of days off work and Things Happening each day. Then work for a few days then Christmas! How did that happen?
This evening we had dinner with DSiL and 'our lot', which was fun. I wish the house was tidy enough to invite everyone back but alas, no. I had some things to take to the charity shop but forgot, too. DH paid but after this I think there's just my work Christmas meal to pay for, entertainment-wise, and some nibbles to take to my friend's house tomorrow.
Spending:
Housekeeping (we seem to be running low on cleaning products all of a sudden) £8.00
