Recommend some Chinese smartphones

Hi, Im doing some research on Chinese smartphones. I have one (Xiaomi Redmi Pro 3) which cost £128 and its a brilliant phone for the price. Not perfect but still very very good. I need to get a phone for my daughter so Im considering all options incl. Chinese handsets. I dont mind spending more as her b'day is coming up.

Therefore Im after any suggestions from any owners. It needs to have a good camera and needs to be fairly up to date in terms of tech but not too bothered if it doesn't have every bell and whistle like NFC.

After doing some research the Xiaomi Mi5s looks very impressive but costs a far bit more (approx £300) than many other models that probably still offer v good performance/features. Any suggestions for budget around £200+ mark?

For £200 you could buy the Moto G4 plus from Amazon, for £160 the Moto G4.

No risk of buying from China and also having a UK warranty on the handset.

He asked for BETTER phone than Redmi3.... Moto's are budget phones, that spec ways are matched up to £100 Chinese phones.
Warranties etc, they hardly worth ever, as they rarely, if ever break and smashed screens isn't covered by waranties.

Xiaomi range is indeed the near top class of alternatives to big branded names and is best value for specs. I would suggest Lenovo top range to check also...

Design etc, slipped, that brand ways "upper class" models from zte and Huawey are worth checking too

Cutbot has a good range of reasonably priced phones and seem to get good reviews - Cubot Dinosaur seems a bargain at around £100
  • I have a huawei (P8 Lite) had it a year or two and its brilliant. Never had any issues, its fast and runs all the apps i use. I think they have the 10 out now or coming soon.

Guys, OP is asking for BETTER (or at least equal) than Xiaomi Redmi3 phone... it is for his daughter and those will be quick to slander down any:D
    :p

HuaW P8 is a contender, but Cubots X17 flagship, still, would lack the premium feel of the Xiaomi ...

I believe OP is after, not just good phone (specs vs value), but "Trendy'ness" also:j

Yeah im looking to get a phone that's equivalent of a mid range UK phone or better. A premium look/feel would be good. Thanks for suggestions so far.

    That ain't Debenhams.

I'm baffled as to why Debenhams think it's a good idea to have their brand associated with this site.
