quite generous for zero hours :)

that should be 12.07% based on 5.6 and a 52wk year.

they can get it down to 12.032 if you use 365 days 52.14 weeks.

It probably is that to be honest, I know it's 12. Something and thought it was .2 but I got paid more than I expected so it might be more

  • 27.5 + BH, going up to 32.5+ BH in Sept after ten years service, I can also buy another 5 which makes sense to decrease my salary by 3% to increase my holidays by 20% although in reality the cost to me is like taking it as unpaid leave.
    Thinking critically since 1996....

based on a 5 day week(260/261 days) with 40.5 days holiday. that's 220 work days.

5 work days is 2.27% of salary, charging 3% is robbing you better to take it as unpaid leave.

if you base it on the 260days 1.9%.

old holidays 225 work days 2.22%

5 days is 14.1% of the old holidays and 12.3% of the new ones.

    I get 33 days.

I book off Christmas Day, Boxing Day and NYD, if they fall on my days in.

I get paid for Easter Sunday without needing to book it off, but need to book Christmas Day. No one understands this at all.

    Thanks to all who voted.
There are certainly more less than 15 and more than 35 than I expected - assuming people did actually pro-rata their days for a full year.

Not done the maths but the average is something like 28 days

Will be interesting to do this again in 5years.

    More than 35
A rubbish poll. Some didn't use full time equivalents and some places don't include bank holidays so not a fair comparison. I get 7.4 weeks holiday but bank holidays count for nothing as they are worked as usual.

Following that previous thread I would be interested to see how many days people employed (public or private) get per year. I am talking about days NOT INCLUDING the bank holidays which I think are 8 days per year on top.

Obviously this is based on full time 35-40 hour per week so please pro-rata if you work part time.

With the pro rata and not including BH the poll should have started at 20(with a potential under statutory min option).
