need help EE SIGNAL!

Options
hi I am in desperate need of help where to go next with this complaint,
I have logged it with EE and the Ombusman but no resolution!
me and my partner have a joint contract we set up over the telephone now in September last year we moved property and started to experience loss of signal we both get 0 bar - 1 Bar, despite numerous calls to EE I spoke to a number of people who were just rude.
I was told it was my fault for moving mid contract and they coudnt help despite the fact nobody can get signal in my house on EE.
I Was also told the the only thing would be to use wifi calling or have a signal box,
so I agreed and they sent me the signal box because I refused to use my wifi to call when I pay virgin a separate bill for that and we are paying £80 a month for these contracts and not being able to use them properly at home.
when I received this signal box it said inside I was to connect to wifi.... so I packed it away and took it into the shop and called again explaining I am not willing to use my wifi, again another very long story later they weren't doing nothing about it we reached deadlock.
then I contact the communications ombudsman who again looked into it and came up with a final statement that no reward or nothing was to be given from EE and it is a fair decision for me to use wifi calling and continue in my contract ,
now previously the 1 manager I spoke to a EE had offered me to lower my package dow so I would get less minutes etc.
so as the case closed on the ombudsman yesterday I rang EE today to be told that there is no way they can lower my contract, they can higher it and give me more.. but not lower and I'm to pay the £80 for both although we don't want or need as much service until may 2018!
now she also said I was not eligible for an upgrade until march 2018?
I have been so upset by all this because I cannot afford these contracts that I'm am on the verge of just cancelling the direct debit!
please someone help what I should do as for me to call or text or use my data I have to walk to another estate to my mother in law house to call anyone / when I'm at work to use both phones.

You moved somewhere without an EE signal. If it was in the country and important you should have checked?

Why on earth won't you use your WIFI? Is it not unlimited?

Doesn't seam reasonable to me, if you want the service.
  • While we respect you are a new user of this forum, you won't get any sympathy as it's neither EE's fault you moved to a weak signal area, nor have they done anything wrong. Why won't you connect their signal box? Is it because you are being stubborn?

No mobile network offers guaranteed coverage, especially coverage inside buildings.

I'm afraid you are stuck with the contract, if you had taken a 30 day SIM only contract, you could have left easily.

Your fault and problem 100%. Mobile phones aren't sold as working everywhere in the country and no one forced you to move to your current property.

So are you just being obstinate and making a rather stupid decision, as Virgin is unlimited and the signal box only uses tiny amounts of data?

Deadlock that is entirely your fault.

    A fair and proper adjudication.

So? Isn't that what you signed up for?

Any offer at adjudication would fall away when you refused it.

That's another stupid choice you're considering, you'll be trashing your credit file for 6+ years just because you obstinately refuse to use a few MB per month via a signal box?

You could just connect the signal box and use it like any rational person would...

I think you know you shouldn't do that. It won't harm EE, just you.
What is your objection to using the WiFi device - seems reasonable to me. Is your broadband limited? If so, change! You signed up to the £80, so they don't have to budge there at all and you're relying on goodwill. If you really need to, sell either/both phones and replace them with something cheaper, which will free up some money to see out the contract with.

cancelling the DD will put a black mark on your credit history and get lots of hassle from unpleasant debit collection people if you don't pay EE.

You really don't want to do that!

I have a signal box in my very poor EE area and I constantly get 5 bars now. Can see no logical reason why anyone would turn down this solution. EE have done all they can by the sound of it

Agreed, EE have done no wrong, they have provided the OP with a solution to use the phone but it isnt to the OP's liking.

OP its no good saying you can't afford the contracts when you signed for them you new how long and the cost.

Just use the box as said on here its not going to cost much of you allowance hardly any and you will be able to make calls.

To many people take out long contracts so they can get a new phone and then a few months down the line they try and get out of the contract if we all did that the phone company's would go bust.

Just put it down to a learning experience and move on.

Virgin Media don't have allowances, it's unlimited broadband (which makes the OP's strange obstinance even more ridiculous).

I have limited BB with Virgin media 50Gb. It was on sale briefly last summer.

I only pay about £6 for it ATM,
And before anyone starts, my ASDL speed is 1Mbps, so would much rather have this limited VM service at a reasonable price.

    It suits my needs.
