Has anyone considered that this could just be a spoof account set up to troll?

And why did someone 'like' the post for being useful? I'd 'like' it for laughing at someone but they don't have that facility here.

Agreed, and another option, both at this new address and already at the previous one, is and was to use either wifi or DECT cordless extension to make some calls via the landline or broadband connection and therefore possibly have chosen a more modestly price mobile contract.

It seems that one manager at EE did offer to reduce the minutes and price on the mobile contract(s), but somehow the OP seems to have initially avoided and now possibly lost this option.

I would try asking again, notwithstanding that after EE's expenses with the ombudsman any inclination for goodwill may have evaporated.

And if they will reduce it, look into VoIP with other providers to make some of the calls.

The great majority will be on unlimited, I've been with them for at least 15-20 years (starting on the cheapest 768kbps service at the time) and it's always been unlimited.

Even that post makes the point it was a short lived offering.

Even then, from what I remember a signal box uses around 200MB per 1000 minutes of use. Even with a 50GB limit you would be talking all month to dent the allowance.
