It would be helpful if you explained why.

Like others I enjoy Schipol, it's well laid out, there's all sorts to do and the lounges are excellent.

Are you sure you haven't confused it with CDG? :D

Haha even my French friends hate that one with a passion. Schiphol is usually named in the top 10 of airports.
    Debt free as per 22/12/16 - :D

Wow so many replies, i won't bother quoting them all.... :rotfl:

Thank you so much to everyone who has replied though, i knew it might be risky and Ive only been in the airport once a few years back. and with us connecting to another flight and having lounge access then we will probably stick to enjoying our free drinks/snacks and have a nosey round the shops!

With us going business class, is it best that we check in at the airport seeing as we will have hold luggage (I'm so used to checking in online because we usually only take hand luggage as our usual destinations are in europe), then have them check us in for our connecting flight. i can then ask about the situation with our hold luggage between the connecting flights too. Or should we just check in online to both flights and print our boarding passes? i have KLM smartphone app too so i have that as a backup incase our tickets don't print right or something...

Im guessing KLM will have a customer service desk at dublin where i can double check about our hold luggage....

Maybe if we had 8+ hours then i would of risked it but i don't want to be in that situation where we miss our flight as the travel time is already 15+ hours from start to finish.

    Regards.

I'd check in online and use the baggage drop at Dublin. And I would use the boarding pass on the KLM app is it seems to work pretty well, but perhaps take a paper copy in case of unexpected running out of juice on the phone.

While Schipol isn't as good as many people claim and has lots of problems (especially long walks) it isn't that bad either and there are many worse big airports in the world.

    - It rains a lot....370 days a year.

    - The Departure Gate lounge roof was leaking rain, and the floor full of puddles.

    - It didn't have sufficient seating for the number of passengers. No toilet in there, and no access to water.

    - The security blokes at the gate are thugs.

    - Got off a flight from Jakarta, for the aircraft to be refuelled before flying on to LGW.

-Straight from the aircraft to the Departure Gate.....had a bottle of water confiscated, and although I was only wearing shorts and T-shirt had a physical frisk by a thug.

Passengers who'd already been on the aircraft for 13 hours weren't given priority when reboarding.
