I couldn't work out which house either. Listing says terrace but first photo shows a semi/end terrace.
Agree that it's weird to have a picture of the back first.
Way too many pics, showing too many aspects. Only need one or two of each room. Most of the garden pics are unappealing, only the one from above shows a reasonable view of it.
The red and pine everywhere makes it look dark and dated but that's personal choice, and I also couldn't live with the feature wall in the bedroom or the tiles in the toilet. The stairs carpet makes me feel off balance, so that would have to go too.
Loved the Harry Potter room though!
I suspect a decent photographer could make a huge difference.0 -
Does anybody ever actually sit in those chairs in the conservatory, looking at the washing machine?
Does anybody ever sit at that little 'breakfast bar' next to the fridge looking into that cupboard?
Is the 'Hogwarts' room a bedroom?
Its not terrible, but I'd decide what kind of room the conservatory actually is and present it that way, have all the bedrooms presented as bedrooms, and definitely get new pictures with brighter lighting.0 -
No comment to make on the house other than to say I'm glad I live up north, bungalow 750 square foot more in a village for less money0

What is the market like in your area right now? While others have found some similar houses for less I also searched within a mile and found quite a few similar or even worse condition properties for over £300,000 so while it may be a bit overpriced it's not as bad as some in the area.
I agree that there are too many photos and not in an order that gives a nice flow, I don't know why but it always bugs me if the first picture isn't of the front of the house.
It is certainly clean, well presented and clutter free, fairly neutral decor hogwarts bedroom aside so the photos should at least be encouraging views. Are you open to offers or are you set on what you will accept?0 -

A mile may as well be a different town as far as comparable properties go.
this road backs onto the M1, so its obviously not the towns most attractive postcode, the £300k similar may be in the best and the OP is gaining nothing by comparing their house to them.0 -
Confused by front/back of house. To me, it looks like you are the mid-terrace door at the front, which then makes me think that the back garden is overlooked by the end terrace?
Looks lovely inside, but pictures could do with being re-arranged as it is higgledy piggledy and confusing.
Very neutral so easy for someone to put their own mark on it in time, and immediately livable. Nice kitchen.
Personal preference, remove the oil radiator in the conservatory picture as that makes me think it will be freezing in there.0 -
Thanks guys keep it coming, this is great for me.
Its in the corner so looks from the back as a semi but the none next door leads off the front.
Theres only me, my husband and my son, so it made sense to have a bedroom and for him his favourite harry potter computer room.
The conservatory we do sit in but my husband is blind so a view isnt high on his list!
its all good feedback and stuff Id discussed already - apart from the conservatory!0 -
1. Start pics with the front of the house
2. Which actually is the pic of the front of the house? Think 24, and that 25 is the car parking space - but I was confused as it looks like it's that end house. Take another pic not showing that house. Make pic 24 clearer/bigger. You want one house in that pic, not four!
3. Okay, now I'm confused again. Pic 1 looks like the back of an end of terrace.
4. Move all the crap (ladder, empty pots, wheelbarrow etc) from the garden. Add some flowers or something - it looks very unloved. Even a white pebble path or something down where I think a path once was. The concrete path is quite unattractive too.
5. Personally I hate tables shoved up against walls (with 3 chairs). Centre it, put 4 round, and dress it if you can.
6. Can you open those conservatory/lean-to blinds?
7. Really dislike the pics up the stairs. Presume it's a dress-up thing?
8. Don't like the plain doors.
9. The 'Hogwarts' room is a little strange. Is that 'cave effect' wallpaper?!
10. Lots of dated pine - I know it's prob not staying, but it does give an overall effect.
11. Lose the word 'investment'. Immediately makes me think there's something wrong with it (like it's not mortgageable).
12. Don't really like any of the light fittings - most of which I presume will stay.
13. MOTORWAY - just looked at the map. That's the biggest problem.
14. Lots of blue on that map too - FLOOD RISK? Second problem.
Hope I wasn't too harsh!!!! As you can see, a lot of it's what I personally don't like. Not a case of one thing putting me off, there would be lots of little things that maybe make me put it further down the pile.
Jx2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -
Was it two bed made into three?
Its just the dimensions are 2 single bedrooms and one double which is a real problem.0 -
With care the photos could have made it look like it is, an end of terrace.
Also photos need to try and not show so much fancy artex.
D!cor will not be to everyones taste but that shouldn't put people off.0
