Missed payment error - how to amend?

Hi,
A network provider (iD - Carphone Warehouse) made a mistake with my account. I wanted to move tariff, but they didn't support this at the time, so I had to cancel my account and sign up again. However, the first account didn't get cancelled and to my surprise I received a letter in the post from a debt collection agency.
They admitted their mistake and this debt was cleared. They said it will take 14-21 days to make the amendment. It's been 30 days, and it still appears on my credit report:

What would you suggest I do?

That screenshot from the OP really highlights how petty and spiteful this whole credit report regime has become.
You had a late payment ....
Wow, sh - 1 -t and corruption. Is the world ending?
That "late payment" could have been late by one day, and for one penny, but regardless:
You had a late payment ....
so we're going to scupper your chances of getting a mortgage.0 -
Clearscore just provides a monthly snapshot of your report, so any changes made between the reports will not be seen until the next update.
If it still hasn't changed when the next report comes in, it would be worth contacting them again.0 -

Lol, er, I take it you don't like credit reports. Look, I'm 25, I've been building my credit over the years with credit cards, phone bills, household bills, etc. likely in preparation for a mortgage one day. Then these free credit report tools came out and I can now keep an eye on it. I know it's petty, but this is a mistake on my file and it's frustrating. I'm not a bank, I don't know what they look at, I don't know how they decide. Maybe they wouldn't want to give me a credit card due to this "late payment", or maybe it won't affect anything. There's no harm in my trying to fix this mistake though. There's greater risk that I leave it on there and accept it, than there is to try and get the mistake amended. So I'm doing the latter.0 -
Meet gingerbob; he is best ignored as he continues his existence by drawing water from well, paying bills in cash and refusing anything that isn't pre-paid because the idea that someone will hold a record of his credit is comparable to being named Damien.
And the advice given in this thread (except for the guy burning raccoons for heat as gas providers want to do a credit check), people reporting to the CRAs have the duty to make sure that the data is accurate. So as this was clearly a mistake, it will be corrected and it all will be fine and dandy again. If it's not up by next report, call them again.0 -

Either learn the rules of this forum, and most others, or clear off.

You've misread my post. I was not, in any way, levelling criticism at you.0
