What a treat it was to have a proper Sunday lunch and another treat to have someone else do the cooking! Roast chicken, carrots, parsnips, cauli and a cabbage I cut from their polytunnel ten minutes before being eaten. Now I am replete and back home. It will be difficult to drag myself away from the sofa and do some work.

My friend is making me a curtain to go across the front door so we had a great time in her craft studio looking for material. Eventually I found the almost perfect one which needs header tape and some heavy lining sewed on. That the use of decorators caulk should stop at least some of the draughts downstairs.

The drizzle is still drizzling and the mist hasn't risen but it's not cold.

Cup of tea coming up whilst I plan to 'do'!

I was getting cabin fever so went out for a walk then had a swim at the gym...not too busy thankfully.

Clean sheets on my bed and now to create something with my LO madras sauce for later, then a shower then sofa :D

Well to say i'm shocked is an understatement... We went out for a late breakfast earlier, there was a few bits and pieces hubby needed and the car needed refueling for work tomorrow so we ended up in The Range. The thing that shocked me was when i went down the aisle where they stocked full length mirrors. I caught sight of myself and couldnt believe how much weight ive lost. I'd noticed it in my jeans but not really in the upper half of my body (and thats where i usually lose it first). I shouldnt get complacent as ive still got loads more to lose but its given me a bit of a boost i can tell you.

Not sure of the amount as i'm scared to get on the scales in case it was a trick mirror.:rotfl:

Well done Judi! Keep up the good work.

Sometimes we are the last to realise that we have lost weight, and it takes us by surprise. I know that after losing more than 3 stones (in my younger years) I used to go shopping and was staggered to see how big the size 18s and 20s were on me, used as I was to wear those sizes. I had gone down to size 12!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Well needless to say neither the admin nor the ironing have been done! Ah well tomorrow is another day and looking at the ironing there is nothing I need in the foreseeable future so it will staying put:)
Got well and truly side-tracked today by finding the original series of "The Survivors" on Youtube so far it is living up to my memories (loved that programme) :D

Well my day has gone from bad to worse. Prodigal has turned up with a carrier bag full of his possessions and a plaster cast on his leg....Ive had to walk out the room before i say something i regret. Hubby is going to have to deal with it.

Anyone got a spare room (for me).

    pity your selling up.

Its not a matter of turning my back on him i tell myself, he just never learns and when the muck hits the fan he comes running back to me.

He's 27 now, i'm in my 50s. I'm not his 'get out of jail free card'. Ive told him that as well but he's my Son and i havent got it in me to tell him to sling his hook either.

Ive just told hubby. If i'd got somewhere to go right now i'd be out the door.

Oh well, he's here for the night. I'll take one day at a time and just hide the family silver, just in case.
