I love house magazines! I always have a flip through if I get an opportunity - my dream home would be a cottage with a wood burner, oak floor, large kitchen, garden, everything matching, me baking/cooking, walks.....
Dunno where I'm going to end up though - as we downsizing and the priority is to get rid of debt so the dream will have to still be a dream
Roof came in at £180 but repaired now.
Progress being made in painting spare room - still lots of jobs to do (seem endless) but at least photos can make a house look nice :rotfl:0 -
Just de-lurking to tell you hope all goes well on your house adventure. I do hope you continue with your diary.
Your excellent diary has inspired me to start my own...hopefully it will make me more accountable on my journey.
Have to dash to save my tub of strawberries from the whirlwind that is my DD.
Take care.

Wow, exciting progress with putting your house on the market FS, and I did the same when we moved on excel - if we sold for these various amounts, we could buy for these varoious amount. Or buy for less that and have this amount spare to spend on the new house
I got caught yesterday with no trains out of London, clipped my car on a fallen tree on my way back from the station, had no electric until the small hours of the morning and had a brisk cold shower as the hot water pump was off. But seeing the news, there we some who ended up in hospital or worse, so puts my grumbles into perspective really
Still, I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't wake up this morning hoping my trains were still cancelled and we'd still have no power so that I couldn't go in, couldn't work from home and could justify an impromptu day off :rotfl:
Blimey Shortie! I hope there was a stiff G&T waiting at the end of all that lotdoingitanyway wrote: »Great house news. I love dreaming in JL too

I've just followed you over from your last diary. There's so much going on over here already, exciting times!
There has been a mantra that we've been using for the past couple years whilst saving up for our field, now we have the field we need a new one too but I haven't found one that fits us just yet. I love your new mantra.0 -

Hi ETE
Thanks for joining me. I think the mantras are a hangover from my learning and development days :rotfl: I find the right one really helps me though - a bit like a positive affirmation. Let me know when you find a good one.

Just taking a minute to dry out :rotfl: The heavens seemed to open just when I left the house or car today.
- Small stones continue to be lifted:
- de-cluttered the house ready for photographing... for de-cluttered read collected up all the clutter and dumped it on the dining room floor :rotfl:
- met a friend for brunch. It was her birthday treat so I paid. She has moved recently so gave me lots of helpful advice
- one Fleabay item collected today, two Fleabay items posted. The extra money will be going back into the current account though. I have spent on a couple of unexpected things this week so need to top up the contingency money I like to keep in there
- four bags to the charity shop
- two bags to the bottle bank
I finally got round to cooking the Beetroot Risotto last night. I'd bumped it from the meal plan a couple of times in favour of quicker meals but I couldn't risk leaving it any longer. I'm not a big fan of Beetroot but love this recipe.
Haven't thought about tonight's supper yet. Waiting until I stop steaming :rotfl:

Today I have:
- listed 10 items on the FB sales site. 10 is the maximum amount you're allowed to list each day. 3 have sold already :T This also means I have made a start on decluttering the loft :A
- filed 10 pieces of paper and some extras. I didn't get the chance to do any filing over the last couple of days so I'm playing catch up
- reviewed a couple of files
- packed 2 boxes
We had a toasted brie and pancetta baguette for lunch and Cauliflower & Bacon Pasta for supper followed by...
Pancakes! With lots of lemon and sugar. Delicious.
Hump day tomorrow
