Morning Fortune
Glad to hear that Mr F's work is ready, sometimes we need to put the housework etc aside to get other things done (in my case, anything else if I'm trying to avoid cleaning :rotfl: )April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -

Housework isn't my favourite thing Shortie but I think, this time, I would have preferred to get the hoover out :rotfl:brizzledfw wrote: »Like the idea of Shropshire..it is pretty remote in places and has glorious scenery..just don't spend too much money in Ludlow on yummy things
Yummy things in Ludlow is the thing I'm most looking forward to Brizzle :rotfl:Moneyfordreams wrote: »love hearing about your adventures fortune, I hope your move happens swiftly for you
Hello early bird. Thank you and I hope you get a nice long sleep soon. You must be exhausted.

I would have been too embarrassed to post here today if I hadn't made some progress, soooooo
- filing done
- living room cleaned
- Bean & Pepper Chillli cooked for supper. It wasn't on the menu plan but I needed something quick as Mr F came home earlier than expected and famished :rotfl:
- conversation with Estate Agent complete. There were a couple of things in the contract that I didn't like so he's just taken them out :T
- set up a spreadsheet to show cost variables dependent on selling price and purchase price, mortgage required and remaining disposable income in each case. Gotta love a spreadsheet
It will be a helpful reference tool when we come to negotiations.
I was getting a bit despondent about the house move earlier. There doesn't seem to be anything on the market right now that meets our spec. Had a long conversation with Mr F to review our needs and wants and revisited R1ghtm0ve. Feeling a bit more positive now.
Next steps are to sign the Estate Agent's paperwork and get his office round to take photos  Some serious decluttering is going to be required this weekend
Storm Doris is visiting the Garden of England this morning but I notice she is blazing a trail through Shropshire
Stay safe people

Storm Doris hit my roof and ridge tiles have blown off - not a good look when trying to sell a house so this will need to be repaired before we even attempt to put it on the market - DHgetting a quote tomorrow.
You are really organised FS - i'm referring in particular to the spreadsheet - great idea0 -

Oh no Tcal! We seem to have escaped any damage. Despite being on top of a hill and seeing our neighbours fences, wheelie bins, sheds etc take off and circle the county, we usually survive untouched. I think the other buildings shelter us.
Spreadsheets give me the illusion of being in control :rotfl:
Hope you get things sorted out quickly and painlessly.

would have saved me a lot of hassle yesterday.
I won't bore you with the details but I had to cancel a catch up with a friend (which I hate doing and it was late notice) because Mr F didn't get his act together earlier. I have forgiven him because he does work hard and it's not always easy for him to keep on top of things
The rest of my day went to plan. Visited the out of town business park to run a chore for Mr F. There is a J0hn L£wi$ Home store there so I took the opportunity to pick up a few necessary evils (light bulbs, etc) and have a browse through all the lovely things I might need in a new home... rangemaster cookers, huge fridge freezers with ice making capability, corner convervatory sofas :rotfl: Well you've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream...
Also discovered a voucher in my purse for free coffee and cake so indulged and had a day off from sugar free. Well, it would have been rude not to
Had to run Mr F into the village early evening and he bought me supper to make up for giving me the run around. We tried out a new to us pub but it was a bit disappointing so won't be going there again
I will be taking the signed paperwork into the Estate Agents today
The house sale is go!

Wow, exciting progress with putting your house on the market FS, and I did the same when we moved on excel - if we sold for these various amounts, we could buy for these varoious amount. Or buy for less that and have this amount spare to spend on the new house
I got caught yesterday with no trains out of London, clipped my car on a fallen tree on my way back from the station, had no electric until the small hours of the morning and had a brisk cold shower as the hot water pump was off. But seeing the news, there we some who ended up in hospital or worse, so puts my grumbles into perspective really
Still, I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't wake up this morning hoping my trains were still cancelled and we'd still have no power so that I couldn't go in, couldn't work from home and could justify an impromptu day off :rotfl:April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
