How lovely to come back to my diary and see all the wonderful, positive messages from my forum friends. Thank you :happyhear

A little more admin achieved today, mainly sorting out utilities and advising of change of address. I listed a few items on FB but I'm not holding out much hope of a sale as there's not much time left now. I've discovered a regular car boot sale in one of the villages close to our new house so we'll just take whatever is left with us and sort it out later.

I met a couple of friends for pizza this evening. It was lovely to have a final catch up. Strange to be doing so many things 'for the last time'. Friend used her discount card so we got a little off the cost of the food.

In more expensive news, I think my dentist detached my retainer when she cleaned my teeth yesterday. I've now got an appointment with her tomorrow to get it fixed. There might be a charge but I don't think I can argue about it as the fixings are quite old now and they do deteriorate.

I have a hair appointment and social event too so I'm preparing for an 'Ouch' day.

    Take care

Things are going well in the run up to the move. Very busy now of course so I think I will sign off for now.

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement and I will see you on the other side when I will truly have moved that mountain.

No wonder you're busy! Hope it all goes smoothly.

P.S. I was looking at your FB art page, have you stopped painting all together or just while you were focussing on the sell and move?

We made it! And I can't believe that we've been in the new house a week already.

There's a lot to do and I'm finding my feet with a new budget. No nasty surprises so far though :)

Lovely to feel that the stress of the last few months is behind us and a new chapter beginning...

...which calls for a new diary.

I'll post a link when it's set up for anyone who'd like to see how we get on in The Shire.

  • I was just thinking about you this afternoon Fortune and wondering how the move was going, so glad to hear it went well! Please do post up the link to the new diary!
