There will be 18 less MLA's this time .
My guess the DUP will loose 5 as will Sinn Fein .
I think after a period of reflection Arlene will quietly be sidelined.
Actually Arlene and Carla Lockard have both blocked me on Facebook .
If you ask a question they dont like ,
you get deleted and blocked .Then it looks like they have loads of support as only the posts supporting them are left .

It is completely false news that the DUP has changed it's name to the Racket Club.

I can't listen to the election campaigning at all. Hearing Arlene Foster trying to worm her way out of corruption charges is had enough and the constant blaming of Sinn Fein and 'it's cos I'm a woman' punchline is even worse. Our own mini Trump in action, even when her name is written across the (hugely costly) mistake she refuses to take responsibility for it. Feels like she's taken unionist politics back 30 years to the message that the only important policy position is to keep the taigs out. I'm just really hoping the electorate don't back her. Admittedly I'm not a natural DUP voter but I had a respect for Paisley and Robinson who at least understood that the role of First Minister had to be about something more than party politics.

Also on the 'is it cos I is a woman' issue - how come the DUP only sent an election leaflet to my husband? Do they just presume male head of household??

I'm probably going with the greens this time.

Same, they ignored my partner as well. In fact I didn't even get any 'nationalist' propaganda at all!

I am probably going to vote Alliance, UUP, SDLP, Greens, Lizard People, Aliens (anyone really before SF/DUP)

Was there ever a time when it wasn't DUP/Sinn Fein in power here?

First time round it was UUP and SDLP. David Trimble and Seamus Mallon held the top jobs .

Yes, indeed. A far off time when reasonable people were in charge.

The system is flawed. It rewards extremism. Even in the depths of the troubles, dup and sf were the minor parties, supported by hot heads.
