SKY Fibre Optic: Worth Calling Sky

Just off the phone to Sky this minute. 12 months fibre optic for £20 p/m and free line rental for the entire 12 month period. Also sending me the new SkyQ router for nothing. So £240 all in for 12 months of fibre optic.

Just mention the deal BT have on until the 23rd Feb - £264 all in for 12 months (but that's with £50 cashback and £100 on Mastercard so it's a hassle to get that last £150.......£414 - £150= £264).

    Yes it's unlimited.
  • Out of interest, are you already a sky customer, or was this for a move to Sky as a new customer?

Hope you got the deal in writing - £20 seems to be the price being quoted for the restricted fibre package (25GB per month?)

    I think brewerdave maybe correct.
Last week i had a chat to Sky about my fibre and line/calls package and they offered me that price for 12m and i kept asking if it was capped and they said no.
When ig got to the end of the chat and the T&c's and prices were shown it was infact £20pm 25GB cap she was trying to get me on.
If i wanted uncapped it would be £30pm which i declined so if i was you i double check the price.
I thought they had done away with line rental prices as its all included in the fibre price.
The chat lady told me that also but then again.
  • Haggled with Sky and got £65 a month reduced to £58 for 10 months with Sky +, TV variety package, line rental, unlimited calls, voicemail and upgrade to fibre broadband plus 25% reduction off Sky Protect insurance for 12 months. Happy with that.

You guys had me worried...but i've checked and it's Sky Fibre Unlimited described as, "truly unlimited broadband".

If it really is Sky Fibre Unlimited for £20 pm inc line rental for 12 months take it and run.
I pay that for Sky standard unlimited broadband.

    My deal ends 26th Feb

Might call and see what deal i can get - you never know !!

Yup, ace deal - I'm on an unlimited standard ADSL/rental deal -and thats ~ £19 pm with Plusnet!
  • It's a great deal but I couldn't get it unless I took out another 18 month contract for tv which was renewed on a 12 month conteact a couple of months ago and has 60% off offer. They wouldn't budge and insisted I could ring to do a new deal when the current one finishes despite me asking why would you as I would still be contract and having to pay full price for 8 months? Fuming and moving isp which I am a bit twitchy about as I have had excellent service from sky.
