Elona good you have a diagnosis and it's being treated. Really good luck with the weight loss.

LW I've had 2 ECG's over recent years. It really is painless, unobtrusive and over quickly and absolutely nothing to worry about I promise. So try not to worry.

ELONA so pleased you now have a diagnosis and being treated for it. Good luck with the weight loss. I got on the scales this morning to find I have put 6lbs on over the winter (I could tell!) so as from tomorrow it's my mission to try and lose it again! When I have a hankering for something sweet I spread a little Sweet Freedom Choc Shot on a sugar free Rich Tea biscuit! 25 cals.

LAMEWOLF I'm another who can vouch for the fact that an ECG is quite painless. I had one last year with my bp check. Though I know for you that actually going to the surgery is the painful bit. x

We had a lovely day out in Otley. The sun was shining and it felt really warm wandering round in the sunshine. Not a lot caught my eye in the cs and I managed to resist going in the Lions second hand book shop! We had a lovely lunch and I made a pig of myself before the diet starts tomorrow! Lasagne and salad, accompanied by a bowl of chips was much enjoyed!! Then a bag of fruit pastilles to munch on, on the way back home!

Have a nice evening folks x

CARLISLE LASS good luck for tomorrow. My thoughts will be with you. x

  • Evening all I've had a tiring day but on return home found that my old man, ok, he is younger than me, had bought me a soundbar for my tablet, and was making a specially nice meal. Sea bass, hm chips and asparagus, very good it was too.

Also wine and on a school night, though I am not actually working tomorrow just going for a potter with an old friend.

Thank the Lord for friends because they are so important to me. I have a rather small group of proper friends, probably half a dozen, lots of others whom I see but they are less central.

Camelot, I do hope the little boy is safe now, it may be a safeguarding issue but his mum may be struggling to keep him safe.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Carlislelass i hope all goes well tomorrow and that you dont get diagnosed with cancer. Will be thinking of you. Pop back and let us know if you can please.

Some news that has cheered hubby up no end.... he's not going to be needed for jury service after all. :) Too many jurors were called apparently.

    Sleep well all,

Elona glad you know what's going on with you and they you are getting looked after.

LW am another one who had a few ECGs and confirm they are painless and over very quickly. If you are distressed by hospitals maybe you can contact the PALS volunteers first, someone might be able to be with you and reassure you all the way through the procedure.

Carlislelass I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow. Will keep you in my prayers.

Just back from the church shelter and am yucky disgusted with the food I ate, had the veggie option but I hat bread end chips and feeling my stomach expand, honestly why do I treat myself do badly? I also had yucky ice cream with yucky chocolate sauce. Ashamed of myself. At least all our guests had chicken and roasted corn on the cob, much healthier than the vegge option (yucky burger in yucky bun). I was so hungry and hobbled it all up.

Tomorrow MUST start eating healthier food, am really running risks with my health. Got more meals out coming up, meeting a friend tomorrow, lunch with DH after his treatments on Thurs and Sunday lunch with DH's relatives. At least I can try and make healthy low carb choices. Wish me luck. And willpower.

    Good night.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • On my first day of school (in 1946!) it got to mid-morning break, and I thought that was it, so walked out of the school gate and home, crossing the high street on my way, aged four and a half! Fortunately roads were not very busy in those days. I remember it well. My mother of course had to take me back.
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!
