There are two camps on this, you either blame Brexit and Trump, or your racist. Which will it be?
What do you do if you don't own a racist to blame?

Well the price changes are due to currency exchange rate changes and well no matter what chart you look at there is a massive spike change on the 23rd of June 2016. Trying to claim they are not related is really a push... its not scaremongering currency fluctuations happen all the time and this one is very easy to pin on a single event.

Apple and Microsoft have not had price increases for other EU countries recently, I don't really have information for the others.

Yes the £ has dopped. But the same items have also risen in price in other countries also. So what has that got to do with the £ dropping?

Are we really going to have a Brexit argument on the Tech forum????
    Get a grip folks....
Yes - can we get back to arguing about whether Windows is better than Linux, or something on those lines? ;)
  • Microsoft price increase due to Brexit pound slump

"Microsoft is increasing its prices in the UK by as much as 15% as a direct result of the slump in the value of the pound.

It is the latest company to announce increases linked to the Brexit referendum, which sent the value of sterling plunging.

The fall has particularly affected companies which import their goods into the UK, as the gap between how much it costs firms to manufacture products and the value of their sterling sale price has widened."

It still doesn't make sense that prices should rise so much though. The drop in the pound shouldn't effect any costs incurred in pounds like taxes and other UK based overheads. Actually all things considered prices should have only gone up by around 10%. The rest is just profiteering.
