There are already sections of the site for bargains and special offers. It's also helpful to monitor price increases, so here's a thread for news on that.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/feb/13/sonos-hikes-uk-prices-by-25-due-to-brexit

'Home sound system manufacturer Sonos joins a growing list of technology companies announcing significant price increases following the vote to leave the EU. Apple was one of the first to move, with prices rising by around a fifth in October 2016. Later that month, Microsoft increased its cloud-hosted service pricing, by up to 22%. In January, Apple moved again, increasing app prices by 25%. Companies which charge customers in dollars, such as Amazon Web Services, have also passed sterling’s collapse on to consumers.'

Im sorry, were you looking for a response to that ??

I have links to news articles too .. Would you like some ?
Are you one of these hiding under their bed " 'coz Brexit ? "
  • In a free market prices go up and down - when they go up I will decline to purchase and try to get it cheaper somewhere else.
eg I won't pay monthly £9.99 for Spotify Premium but sometimes they will have offers like the one I'm on at the moment of £9.99 for 3 months when that finishes I'll go back to the free version.
(I am an expert in starting the next track just before the existing one finishes to stop the adverts kicking in!)

    Price hiked "following" brexit.

    NOT BECAUSE OF IT....

    SCAREMONGERING....

Have they reduced prices in other countries? Or have other countries in or out of the EU also had price rises?

Well the price changes are due to currency exchange rate changes and well no matter what chart you look at there is a massive spike change on the 23rd of June 2016. Trying to claim they are not related is really a push... its not scaremongering currency fluctuations happen all the time and this one is very easy to pin on a single event.

Apple and Microsoft have not had price increases for other EU countries recently, I don't really have information for the others.

just to balance it out. exports are cheaper and countries don't get rich off importing more than they export. sonos and apple are also luxury items/brands that you don't have to buy

Brexit, a convenient excuse for something they were planning to do anyway..........

Kinda like the water companies blaming a few weeks of sun for price rises, JUST before we get one of our wettest summers on record.

It a good job that nobody actually *needs* a Sonos in their life then.

Apple might have raised their app prices but the all important hardware prices haven't changed much and the same goes for other manufacturers.

I bought my 13" macbook pro in 2010 and I seem to remember that back then the price was about £1200

Today, six+ years later, the price is £1150 and that's with a retina display. So actually cheaper today than in 2010.

When I bought mine I also looked at high end Windows laptops and they were about the same price, some even more.

Today you can buy a high end Windows laptop for the same or less than 2010.

Prices rise and fall and always have done, companies will always charge as much as they think people will pay. Back in the day when we were getting nearly $2 to the pound people in the UK were often being ripped off because what cost $1000 in the US cost nearly £1000 here.

I know people who flew to New York to buy some things because even including the airfare it was cheaper than buying the same thing here.

You just come across as bitter that we voted to leave the EU. Well we live in a democracy and are lucky to do so. Time to accept it and move on or perhaps you're one of those people who only believe in democracy when thing are going the way you want?

And I'm sure even you can remember when cars cost significantly more in the UK than the same car in other EU countries. And the uproar because companies like Ford were happy to sell you a left hand drive model here at inflated UK prices but tried very hard not to sell you a right hand drive model in Belgium at EU prices.
One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.

There are two camps on this, you either blame Brexit and Trump, or your racist. Which will it be?
