Thankbyou everyone. Will keep you posted. Fingers crossed. I rely on my family for everything especially mum, sisters etc.
Its on Friday 😥
How long after the dreaded visit do you get your result?
GOOD LUCK and keep us informed !0 -
Of course I didn't.
The assessor's report isn't going to be influenced by a secret recording.

The DWP has previously stated that any claimant found to be covertly recording their WCA will have their WCA terminated..........
I know that this is a PIP rather than WCA interview - but expect similar treatment
it is unclear, however, from DWP's response - whether they accept that a covert recording will be allowed or not..0 -
I was not going to record this.0

They will not accept a covert recording.
If you try and the assessor realises a recording is being made, the assessor will immediately stop the assessment and you risk not getting the benefit.

There is no point secretly recording an assessment when the main aim is to make sure that the assessor accurately writes down your answers - he/she has to know a recording is being made if his/her behaviour is going to be affected!0 -
Unfortunately i sent original letters of results etc with my form. Wish i had copies. Do they look at equipment etc could i mention this for evidence etc0

It is now accepted by the medical profession and associated medical defence organisations that people covertly recording their interactions with any health professional are not breaking any laws and are acting within their common law rights.0

They won't accept it, but they cannot stop you recording, just do not let them catch you. Some tribunal will accept a recording it's at the discretion of the courts at the end of the day.0 -

Agree, I recorded my assessment without permission and the courts have accepted it as additional evidence for use in my tribunal which is at the end of March.0 -

I don't understand why anyone thinks it's worth recording it covertly.
The best reason for recording is to make sure that the assessor records the claimant's responses accurately and doesn't lie about the claimant doing physical tests when they didn't - seeing the recording devices on the table in front of them leads to much more accurate reports.0 -

Any extra evidence you have take this too. Don't rely on them getting this evidence as they very often don't. You'll be watched from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. This doesn't mean there's cameras there though. Don't just answer the questions with a yes or no, if you can't do something tell them and explain why you can't do it. Most of the questions will be related to what you put on the form but they may ask you more. Think before you speak. If you have mobility issues they will most likely ask you to do some physical things, if you can't do these or they cause you pain and discomfort tell them. Don't do them just because they asked you to. Good luck and let us know the outcome.0
