    Also bear in mind that the solicitor is not there to make any decisions for you. They will guide you. They will advise you what the law says and allows. You then need to make the decisions.

    Divorces are usually expensive and protracted because the parties themselves quibble about the details, using the solicitors as the middleman / mediator.

  • Hi all

    I am trying to get a divorce from my ex wife after 4 years of seperation
    I have been in contact with her via email recently and she is demanding that i give her £1500 before she conciders looking at the paperwork or signs it

    Is she entitled to do so as we have seperate bank accounts

    You need to start your own thread in future rather than piggybacking onto someone else's.

    To put it simply, what she is asking for is a bribe and you should report her to the police.
