    Evening all.

What is the saying "the best laid plans" and all that? Well it certainly applies to our plans today.

Looks like my Grandson is coming down with Chickenpox. Just one or two spots at the moment but we will see how he progresses. He's ok in himself, just a bit itchy. Ive stocked up on paracetamol syrup (if its chickenpox your not supposed to give ibruprofen and thats what ive already got), calamine cream and extra salt to bath him in. I'll see what he's like in the morning. His Mummy (my daughter) is 18 weeks pregnant and she's concerned about the baby she is carrying so ive told her to phone the midwife. She's had chickenpox as a child so should be immune but it wont hurt to phone the midwife. Grandson is sleeping soundly in bed at the moment. I hope he doesnt get me up at 5am like he did last time he had a sleepover.:(

    Have a good night all,

ps i dont own any socks.

  • I knit socks, so have quite a few pairs because they last ages (some have been refooted.)
But, don't ask about balls of unused sock wool. There are so many lovely colours and types available now, so it's one thing I find difficult to resist. And people buy me them for birthdays etc.
Yes, don't ask, because I'm not going to shame myself by getting them all out and counting them! Suffice it to say that I will NEVER need to buy any more. (But WANT and NEED may not be the same thing!)
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!
