So far I have changed the bed linen and had a complete cull of my T shirt drawer and undie drawer too. I still had too many left over tops from my full time working days when I would wear a fresh one each day. Now I'm a lazy so-and-so I really don't need 15 of them. And why I have nine pairs of socks is beyond me, no more!
What I've noticed is that most of my stuff is dark blues with an ocassional sassy red or stripey white one. I need colour in my life, it's almost Spring so I'm going to trawl the net for inspiration.
Not even out of pjs or showered yet, that's the next thing then. Who needs to plan? It's all organic! :rotfl:
Only 9 pairs!!!! :eek::eek:
I have about 50 pairs for a variety of occasions:
Warm fluffy pj socks, thermal socks, trainer socks (thick and thin), sports socks, thin cotton socks, black socks, coloured socks....the list is endless...
I need more socks ..my feet are always cold :rotfl::rotfl:'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Morning, ((((((((( hugs )))))))))) if you need one.
Good luck with the viewing Hester, I hope you can get something soon and get yourself out of that awful school.
Long lie this morning, OH woke me getting out of bed, was told to stay where I was, have just had porridge and toast, coffee to drink, then I will think about getting up.
Good visit to my quilting friends yesterday. Several flurries of snow but it has not settled, very cold though
Decided to have a fried breakfast for supper, except the bacon will be grilled rather than fried.0 -
Good morning,
Nmlc thank you for starting the thread.
Gers welcome!
Lainey, one more step done. Take care (((hugs))) X
Another good night sleep and such a relief this morning, eating something that I did not count points for, having given up the WW slavery! As it happens, it was organic granola, relatively healthy, but found it too sweet. I am so going back to my old low carb regime that served me well in the past. Sugary stuff never make me feel full or satisfied.
About to go to the gym for the first time in ages, after having the GP health referral assessment and programne. Going with my brand new earphones so wil plug myself in and watch youtoob nonsense while I bike away my lard (hopefully). The marvels of new technology! TV on the gym bikes, WOW!
Lunch at friends, then visit another friend in hospital then attend a birthday party, full social life today, and no cooking or housework YIPPEE!
Hugs to those with sorrows and well wishes to the poorlies.
Have a good day. Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Morning all, it has been snowing here since 4, possibly earlier, but that is when I got up. It looks pretty as it comes down, so far not sticking as although consistent , it is light.
Not much else to report, I am going to enjoy the weekend as back to work next week.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning everyone
Done my ironing and cleaned bathroom and spent far too long fiddling on laptop. Load of washing in the machine finished about 20 minutes ago, so I really should move! Its only to hang on airers as its pouring with rain, very windy and cold. I think I might just hibernate today. Eldest dd sent me photos of snowy Amsterdam....looks really pretty
Hope everyone has a good day x0 -
Morning everyone
It's been snowing here too since about 5am (DH was up but I was still in the land of nod ) but it's not sticking.
Was a bit upset yesterday as man over the road had another concrete delivery and the local bus couldn't wait for anyone to move so he side swiped our car! Only realised because the alarm went off and the blooming bus didn't stop. When we checked the damage it wasn't too bad, but I think the bus came off worse as there was red and blue paint all over the side of the back bumper. We were lucky that we have a oldish 4x4 because if it had been a car I think the whole back end would have been damaged.(DH said he can sort it with a bit of specialist polish thank goodness)
Tea today will be corned beef hash - proper comfort food.
Hester - fingers crossed for the viewing
Take care all and have a good weekendFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Good Morning all ,just
its sleeting here at the moment and looks very dark and overcast .I am trying to whip up the enthusiasm to go to Dobbies to meet up with DGD Holly, not that I don't want to see her, its just so awful looking out there I think I will find my boots and layer up before I go.
I have the last of my freebie birthday vouchers to use up this afternoon and we get a pot of tea for two and two fresh cream sconesso it would be rude not to use them up don't you think
:):)
I also want to see if I can find a nice pot plant or some flowers as I am going to the cemetery in London tomorrow morning with my youngest DD as it would have been my dear brothers 76th birthday and we want to make sure he's not forgotten.
My eldest DD has arrived safely in New York where the weather is far worse as they had a foot of snow. But it won't deter her as her and her OH like to shop, and I mean really like to shopretail therapy is high on their agenda when they go out there
Each to their own I guess .Hugs to those who are down or just in need of one and for the rest of you I hope you are all warm and dry
take care chums

I have been dashing round, clearing up and hoovering as dd and SIL were coming round to leave their cat with me overnight as they are travelling to Gloucester to see relatives.
By 10.45 I was dressed, kitchen and bathroom were swished, hall etc was hoovered and tidied and I had made an early light lunch of dinner party chicken with stir fried kale and red onion in fancy chicken stock.
I am getting the bus to see older dd in York, have a coffee and do some shopping. Middle dd fancies a coffee machine as a birthday present so have done a bit of research and will have a look this afternoon. There is a Tassimo one half price in C***ys so could try there and look out for a variety pack of pods to go with it.
Weather is about 2 degrees so I will need to look out my thicker hooded jacket if I am mooching round the shops.
JackieO
Definately layer up as it is perishing cold.

Gym and swim done...too many people in the pool, how very dare they get in my way
Didn't take my purse so no money spent in the shop on the way home
Exhausted now but I may go count my socks just to check I wasn't exaggerating about my 50 pairs...although I can already see 4 pairs on the drying rack, another gym and normal pair in the WM and the cosy fluffy ones now adorning my feet, adds up 7 already...
Sorry, am I rambling..I know I need to get out more :rotfl:

Afternoon folks. Oh it is nice to hear about someone else getting the snow and sleet! It's usually us! Mind, I had better not gloat too loudly as it's forecast for us on the northern hills to get it tomorrow!
I braved the cold and damp, wrapped up warmly and got the bus into town this morning. Not for anything in particular but I picked up a few bargains in Fultons including a massive pack of cooking bacon £1.59, as lean as you like, now chopped and bagged in individual portions, large Skyr yogurts in various flavours 2 for £1 , Loyd Grossman Carbonara sauce sachets 2 for £1 and some packs of Bourbon cooked ham for 69p. Good bargains which made it worthwhile turning out for!
The bed linen is draped around upstairs drying, some pork escalopes are defrosting to do in a mushroom sauce for dinner and now I am going to make us a coffee apiece and get my feet up and carry on reading my book.
Have a nice afternoon folks and wrap up warm if you are venturing out xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
