It's a bright, sunny but muggy morning here - me thinks a
decent downpour would be in order to clear the air a tad!


Yay! I actually finished painting my shed yesterday -
wonders will never cease! :T

I think I can recall seeing a news report on the local TV
station about the garage tyre workshop fire - seems to ring
a bell. It sounded awful.


Well must get on - I'm off out later so got to quickly catch
up on comps etc.

Good morning,

Dh says thank you for Birthday Wishes FF and Alfie.

Going to try and make a blackcurrant compote to go with cheesecake tonight so heading out to pick some blackberries! Never made one before so should have asked one of the boys but will use a recipe on line and see what happens.
Must get on as have so much to do.

DD1 and her DS had DS had a great holiday with her friend's in Denmark. He was full of it Lego Land a park with a zoo area, many dinosaurs and a trampoline are and they took him to a harbour crab fishing just some of it.

Yes, Alfie that was the fire. Great you have your garage finished you must be pleased.

Very muggy here to Firefly. Well we are just off shopping.

shining away here and 'apparently' it's set to be the same
for the duration of the bank holiday weekend which makes a

How did you get on with making the blackcurrant compote

The trip to Denmark sounds a brilliant success leanfun. :T
I was there many years ago when travelling around
Europe - beautiful country - loved The Little Mermaid
statue at the Langelinie promenade in Copenhagen but
had no idea of the vandalism she has suffered over the
years! :eek:

Alfie thanks for the link. I've never been to Denmark but DH had been a number of times for football with DD and often been in area of the statue.
I too didn't know of the vandalism either. Very interesting article.
DD flew to Billand with BA and stayed near there with football friends. The BA ticket gave free child entrance to Lego Land very MSE.

Pleased to hear you had a good time with family and friends yesterday.
Do hope the forecast for the weekend is right would make a change.

The weather forcast yesterday showed floods in Yorkshire. Hope you were ok Sylvia.

DD2 now due to arrive today so gives us a bit more time to prepare here.

Good Morning,

Had a lovely evening with DD and her BF. My steak pie went down really well, everyone said it was even better than usual and my compote was a great success. (really pleased with myself!) It took me half the day to get the meal organised though so be nice to have something quick to prepare tonight. DH really enjoyed his day anyway.

I have been to Denmark too leanfun. We took the older boys to Legoland there before the Windsor one was open. Did manage to do a bit of sightseeing as well. Always meant to go back. Thanks for DHs birthday wishes.

Hope it dried up for you FF. We had a lovely sunny day yesterday but I didn't see any of it! Supposed to be OK today but nothing special.

Afternoon peeps. Had a busy week so relaxing with some comps now. Hope everyone is well.

Evening everyone. DS phoned me to tell me about GD. Her tooth fell out at school yesterday. She forgot to bring it home so she wrote the tooth fairy a note telling her where it was. She got up this morning and the note was still there. She was crying her eyes out. DS and DIL had completely forgotten. Luckily she retrieved tooth today and it will go under her pillow tonight. Poor little mite I'd have had a right strop lol.
