Enjoy your lunch out Sylvia :) Sundays are never peaceful for me anymore!
I used to like the moneysupermarket one but they play it so many times it's annoying now! The one that annoys me is the 'accident & claim, call Thomas and Meighan' the kids know it word for word and say it all the way through when it's on!

Alfie, I remember the flake one well, the boys used to drool over the girl eating the flake! It was a bit seductive! :D The old test signals bring back back memories. My bro's used to tease me saying it was me with the chalk! :D

Fire**fly, I still bang my tv now! :p for all it's a flat screen it's annoying as it sometimes goes off! To think we used to have tiny box tv's in black & white!

I didn't know binmen came on a Sunday Rose. Ours comes early Friday mornings and our bin gets emptied each week along with recycling one week and garden waste from April.

My DD2 did really Well in her gymnastics comp at Spennymoor. She got 5th and 6th places in the all round which is good for her first comp in her new gym club. Plus they got a teddy which she was buzzing about! She loved the gym centre there as its where a famous gymnast in the olypics attended previously.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Wingo the bin men work seven days a week where I am. General household one week then recycling bin next week and garden waste from April till September . We used to be a Thursday then they re-arranged the routes. So we are now a Sunday.
  • Had a lovely lunch at the Harvester, resisted pud but still shouldn't have ate what I did eat. Will regret it at weigh in of thursday.

I hate that one 'accident & claim, call Thomas and Meighan' too Wingo it used to drive me mad.

    Anyone watching Good Khama Hospital?

    Watched Call the Midwife too.

Rosie is tucked up in her bed but was in the "naughty corner" earlier as she very nearly pinched my salmon sadwich LOL.

    Good morning all :hello:

Hope you're all ok and ready for the week ahead. :)

I watched Good Khama Hospital yesterday evening sylv
and Call the Midwife - love both.

Your meal at the Harvester sounded scrumptious!
    Lol at naughty Rosie! :rotfl::rotfl:

Big congratulations to your DD2 with her brilliant results
in the gymnastics competition wingo. :T You must feel a
    very proud mum. :grinheart

I didn't mind when the first moneysupermarket advert
came on with just the one man (in shorts :D) doing his
strutting. But have really begun to hate it ... especially
when the builders came into it and then just lately the
mum appearing at the end and starting to dance!

Lol - I can recall having to thump the TV and also faffing
about with the bloomin indoor aerial - trying it in various
places - just to get a decent picture! :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a lovely and lucky Monday all and take care ...

Morning all. Quite bright here at the moment after a nights rain. Went off around 8am. Hate that moneysupermarket ad. Remember mum having to faf about with the ariel lol. Ours pinned to the wall. It was like a long strip either side of a domed round thing. Glad you saved your sandwich sylvia lol at rosie. Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Just been out for a walk. Didn't stay out long as wind has got up a bit and it is chilly. Police Helicopter is out and flying quite low so they must be after someone as there are a lot of police cars going up and down as well.

Nasty wet day here today. Went out for breakfast and to do a shop.

Well done on your DD Wingo, saw it on fb too. Enjoy your week off work.

We never had a TV when we were kids only radio. Mom always had Woman's hour on and then we listened to Listen with Mother, I think that's what it was called, during which time Mom usually fell asleep.

    Must get on.
