Cp plus staff parked in public area at meadowhall

Hello, looking for advice.

My girlfriend(staff) has today received a parking charge notice from cp plus for parking in customer car park at meadowhall.

She has done this today as the battery was flat on the car. I was going to pop in to attach the jump leads once she'd finished her shift.

She's received an £80 charge on the windscreen, reduced to£48 if paid within 14 days.

She got there at 9.00am, had McDonald's at approx 9.10, went to the bank approx 9.20, worked 10 while 3pm.

Obviously, she was in the wrong but the charge seems a bit steep!!

Is there anything we can do?

Ironically, we're about to go back now to do some shopping!

ik , how long was the car parked for? , were there not signs saying "x hours max" (there are)

and when you go back tonight save your recepts as you may well be going back tommorrow to "have a word" with shop owners regarging the ticket "you will get tonight" *

    *or was it this morning?

actually , sod that , appeal and say the car had broken down and was awaiting a recovery

if CP want to take this to court , let them , a judge would laugh

PS , for the size of them they don,t like court (brings back memorys ) http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/CP_Plus.html
  • Windscreen ticket, time as not an issue, you can shop there as long as you want. The charge is 'staff parked in shoppers space '
  • ok how did they know that the DRIVER (not car owner) was staff? , is it against there rules for a husband to drive his wives car (wife is staff) and park , or did they PHYSICALLY see her park , follow her into work and ask her?

Read the NEWBIES sticky thread, use the template to appeal and win. Appeal as keeper. CP Plus can't hold the keeper liable.

All explained already in the sticky thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
