Morning jellybeanz, just wanted to wish you best of luck with the new diary and mf journey.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Thank you
the diaries on here have been inspirational to say the least. I've picked up on a few tips and am really enjoying reading them (spent an extra hour in bed this morning indulging lol)
And I've remembered that there is no council tax payment next month so I can move that over once I get paid. I have made a 100 square for my CC payments. I thought that was a brilliant idea that would give me a lot of satisfaction as I am a visual person. And I've also made a to do list this morning. I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether having a land line affects your credit rating? I have had one for years, but tbh I don't use it and am proposing to get rid of it and just keep the tinternet. Could potentially save myself at least £30 pcm/ £360py.Onwards and upwards with the occasional kick up the butt required!

I don't have a landline, haven't had one for about 6 years. My credit rating is showing is in the excellent range, but not sure if it does effect it or not.
It's quite a saving if you don't need it, although a lot of BB still need a phone line. I'm with v1rgin, so don't need a phone line for the BB.0 -
Thanks ETE. I'm with v1rgin too and just don't use the phone at all as everyone has mobiles these days. I think I'll give them a call tonight after work.Onwards and upwards with the occasional kick up the butt required!

I spent this afternoon's lunch break looking at batch cooking ideas. I've recently found that if I cook a lasagne and a cottage pie on a Sunday whilst I am doing the roast and then pop them in the fridge it alleviates some of the pressure on cooking when I get home from work on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Yesterday I got a large bag of sweet potatoes that were whoopsied and was trying to work out what I could cook with them to pop in the freezer. Last night we had wedges, but I wanted a few more ideas. It turned into a bit of list of other bits and pieces that I reckon I will make up next weekend. So I've popped it on here to make sure I don't lose the piece of paper

With the kids being fussy I bought a few small oven dishes last month from the £ shop so that I could add or remove vegetables accordingly. They have been a good investment. And I must remember to visit the farm shop on Saturday to pick up a sack of spuds. It's been a productive oneOnwards and upwards with the occasional kick up the butt required!

Cheers PaddyZ
I've just tallied up how much I have managed to put away so far this month on the mortgage using the Tilly Tidying/skimming and it's £72. It's gone from my account without me noticing any difference and has potentially saved me £90 in interest over the remaining term. Happy days
Was a quiet one at work, so I managed to get loads done. Dinner cooked for me two nights in a row thanks to darling Mr H - we agreed no Valentines stuff and I couldn't resist and had to get him a card, but then my 11yo DS wanted me to pick one up for his mystery GF too. So I spent a grand total of £4 on two cards and 2 boxes of malt chocolate floaty balls. He came home last night with a card from her and some P0k£mon cards very happy. I don't mind as long as he learns to treat others in the right way and be respectful I'm a happy mummy too!Onwards and upwards with the occasional kick up the butt required!
